Not many bike components can pull duty across road, XC, all-mountain, and enduro disciplines, but the WTB Volt Comp Saddle with Steel Rails is one of the few that can. By borrowing features from other WTB saddles, the Volt manages to be comfortable and cost effective at the same time, no matter where you're riding. The steel rails provide a solid platform, while the synthetic cover is comfortable and durable and the padding protects sensitive spots by strategically supporting your anatomy. The Volt also features WTB's Flex-Tuned shell, which is not as supple as the Soft Shell but not as firm as the Carbon Composite, giving you a precise but comfortable platform that takes you from the trail to the road and back.

  • A versatile perch for road, mountain, 'cross, or gravel
  • Shell built with medium support for endurance comfort
  • Targeted flex damps singletrack and gravel chatter
  • Steel rails are the reliable standby for high-abuse cycling

Not for hardtails

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Came stock on my Kona Honzo, I rode it for a little while before noticing that one of the rails had become very bent in. Replaced it with another one because it was cheap and I don't really know why I bothered. After less than 10 rides on it, the rails are bent to the point where the seatpost won't clamp down fully and slides forward as I ride. I weigh about 185lbs and I'm usually not riding my mtb for more than 2 hours at a time. onto Ti rails I go.

Gets the job done

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've always been a fan of WTB saddles, and the Volt is no exception. Coming off their Speed and Devo series prior, the Volt felt right at home and at a price that doesn't break the bank. The styling isn't bad, but personally I like going to the next higher end version to get an all black aesthetic.

Can't beat this bang for the buck

Amazing saddle. Especially for the price. It absorbs chatter and is very comfortable. Very easy to install. I cant say anything bad about this saddle.

    Sturdy Saddle

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is a simple, fairly comfortable saddle. It's surely heavier than others, but if weight is not a concern, this is a great option to get you out the door and on a ride. I've only ridden it a few times, but it's served me well so far.

    Gets the Job Done

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I don't choose saddles based on comfort and I stray away from ultra-light, expensive saddles. This saddle gives me everything I need. I would recommend to the budget conscious consumer!

I hear there are better saddles...

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

But this one is just so reasonably priced and it works well. It's not the most comfortable, but I haven't had any real complaints about it. 8/10.

    Great all around saddle

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use this saddle on my road, gravel and mountain bikes. Great saddle for the price.

    Basic Comfort

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The steel rails offer a supportive platform and the medium flex cushion offers a comfortable feel even after hours in the saddle.

    great basic saddle

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this saddle to replace a terribly stiff one on an older bike. It is a basic, comfortable option for someone who doesn't need top of the line super techy mumbo jumbo in their saddle.

    WTB Volt Comp Saddle

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a great inexpensive saddle. It is comfortable and is durable.

    agreeable saddle

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is the saddle that comes stock on a lot of bikes for good reason. It won't blow you away with light weight or fancy features, but it tends to be comfortable for most people and is solid quality. One of my MTB's came with this saddle and I was never amazed nor annoyed by it. No complaints here.

    Does the job

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Is this the best saddle on the market, no. But is it the best saddle you can get for under $50. YES!! So if that is your targer price point then this is the saddle for you.

Great saddle at a great price

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These saddle is actually really killer... especially for how inexpensive it is. I picked this up to put on my bike that I have inside on a trainer. The previous one (I think from the 70's) was killing me. This seat is really comfy and seems like it's going to stand the test of time.

Need a comfortable saddle at a great price point? This is my go to. For shorter rides and around town, I have been very happy with this saddle choice. Want to upgrade? Check out the different rail options with the same saddle comfort

    Awesome budget option

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This saddle is a bit heavy compared to a lot of the blinged out carbon and ti rail saddles out there nowadays, however, none of those can compete with the WTB Volt. Super comfortable, great shape, and very inexpensive.

    Working Man's/Woman's Seat

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm a sucker for spending ridiculous amounts of money on bike parts to make my bike as rad as possible. Recently I had a build where I was more concerned with value and function than being flashy, so I made the responsible choice and went with this value workhorse of a saddle. It has the signature design and comfort found in the other WTB saddles, but is made out of much more affordable materials. As a result it's definitely not very light weight, but it's durable, affordable, and comfortable.

Looking to keep your build fancy and light? I would recommend one of WTB's higher-end offerings, I have the volt pro on one of my other bikes and love it (same saddle, just lighter and therefore more expensive). Looking to get a decent seat without breaking the bank? This is a great option.

    Comfort on a budget

If you're looking here you probably don't want to pay out the @$$ to save your buns. This saddle isn't saving weight, but it is saving other things that are more important, such as dollars and the rear. If these are your concerns, this is your answer.

You're going to spend a lot of time in the saddle getting to where you can stand up and truly enjoy your bike. Make sure you don't hate that time and get a saddle that works for you. This is my choice because its comfortable and I can stand (I really mean sit) it.

        Not too shabby

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this saddle to replace a stock one on a hybrid bike. I've taken it on 15-20 mile rides and I found it pretty comfortable. Definitely not the saddle you're looking for if you're shaving grams, but it seems pretty solid and should last for a while.

        pretty comfy

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

good seat. pretty comfy on long rides. I have not noticed the weight.
