With the seemingly sudden advent of 27.5+ tires, heading out without your own spare tube is a lot more of a gamble than it would be with your traditional 29er since most well-meaning fellow trail riders will probably not have a corresponding tube to help you out. Stock up on WTB's 27.5in Plus Presta Mountain Tubes while you wait for the rest of the world to catch up to the 27.5+ trend so you never end up cutting a ride short because of a flat.

This can't possibly actually weigh 635g, right? Can someone check? Every other 27.5+ tube is about 350g.

I figured it was about time to get a proper 27.5+ spare tube to carry with my Tallboy. Until now, i've been hoping to not have to stretch my standard 27.5 spares into the 2.8" tire. I haven't had to use these yet, but have them in case I do.

Carry on long rides just in case
Carry one of these in your pack or strap it to your frame just in case your tubeless setup ruptures. I can't imagine how bad it would be to get stuck in the backcountry and have to carry out a 30 lbs. over rough terrain for miles and miles and miles. So far my wife and I have had no issues with flats on our 27.5 + tires, set up tubeless with Stan's sealant. I worry that the thinner sidewalls of the plus tires would be subject to higher risk of punctures, but so far that hasn't been the case. Still not a bad idea to carry a spare tube at all times. And for 27.5 + tires, you will need these highter-voume tubes. Standard tubes won't work well.

Its a TUBE!

Solid tube as all WTB products are from my experience. 4 stars cause its a little pricey in comparison to say Continentals which are also nice. I'm sure it will do its job nicely when needed. Tubeless backup for now.
