Upgrade your dropper function.

Wolf Tooth Components is on a mission to free us from finicky dropper levers with it ReMote lever for cable-actuated dropper posts. The ReMote uses a mammoth 21mm sealed bearing to facilitate silky smooth motion, which in turn gives riders exceptional control over modulation and general dropper function. The low profile lever sits close to the bar, making it easier to reach than many other systems and in turn reduces the amount of time your thumb is away from the handlebar grip. This means more control and confident handling, but if you do happen to crash, a breakaway axle pivot at the base of the lever is designed protect the body of the ReMote so all you'll need to replace is the small axle when things go south.

  • A remote upgrade for your cable-actuated dropper post
  • Low profile lever is easy to use
  • Large sealed bearing provides smooth modulation
  • Breakaway lever axle protects the ReMote's body
  • Integrated cable adjustment for on-the-fly tweaks
  • Machined lever surface improves grip

The best equipment on your bike is the equipment you never notice because it just becomes a part of you. This bit of kit is no exception. I receive tons of compliments on how it's better than the fox equivalent.

Which option is most compatible with Shimano SLX?

    Great Upgrade but....

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I couldn't match make this remote to my Hope Techs with Sram matchmakers. That is my ONLY gripe. I recommend ordering this lever with a regular bar clamp for those with brake set ups not listed under Compatible Components to save the guess work.

The range of adjustability of this remote lever combined with its ergonomics, make this upgrade a no brainer.

Went with this for my Fox transfer dropped post. Its a must and intergrates perfectly with my shimano breaks.

    Mandatory Upgrade

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Installed on a Race Face Turbine dropper post and couldn't be happier. The stock lever was on top of the bar and awkward to reach while riding. The Wolf Tooth lever is in a much more convenient but also safer location where it won't dig right into your knee during a crash. Definitely worth the upgrade!

    Install took some effort!!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I got my remote yesterday and installed it on my SLX brake lever. In order for it to seat properly I had to use a flat file to remove about 1/8 of an inch of material from the adapter as it was too long for the remote to tighten against the lever. In the end I got it on and so far it's working great!

    Great Option

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I paired up the I-Spec option with a Fox Transfer Post and Shimano XT lever. It looks and feels great. Highly recommended over a stock lever.

    Solid Upgrade

This remote is heads and tails above the original Thomson remote that came with my Elite Dropper. Obviously you need to be rocking 1x in order to have this setup but it’s seamless with my Shimano brakes and it’s made my cockpit super clean. I’ll never go back to the old remote!

      Easy to Setup, Smooth Action

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The ReMote is a definitely an upgrade over the stock Fox lever. Buy one, you won't be upset.

Amazing add on to Fox Transfer post

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

After a few rides on the wolf tooth remote, I can't imagine going to back to a stock lever. The ergonomics are fanominal, the action is super smooth thanks to the sealed bearing, and with so many different clamp options it really helps tidy up your cockpit.

      Beautifully Designed and Executed

Looks great, performs better, and is easy to set up.

      Underrated Upgrade

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Picked one of these up after me and my fists of ham overtorqued a Fox Transfer remote and i broke the clamp. The big paddle surface gives me more leverage than other shifter style remotes, and I've found that i can now more confidently hit the dropper post in those "oh sh!t" moments when i'm going over a bigger ledge than expected. This has been something of a game changer as I find myself adjusting my post a lot more than previously based on how easy it is to adjust. I ride shimano brakes so the i-spec compatibility is always a nice touch for a cleaner looking bar.

Grippy surface helps in wet conditions

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Overall I like the aesthetics of it, especially with matchmaker or i spec 2. Works well and is adjustable. However, 4 stars because of that ridiculous cable tension Allen head screw! Such a shame they missed a really bad flaw. Easy to fix though. The design of the extremely shallow Allen screw makes it impossible to tighten it up enough. One push and it pulls slack in the cable! I simply cut a slot across the screw and tightened it right up with a flat head screw driver. And I'm no engineer! $50 bucks for a simple lever is steep, having to modify it so it will work is frustrating! All that bs said it is the best dropper remote I have personally tried so far. 4 stars

      Steezy and functional

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Looks great, works perfectly, matches my Shimano brake lever. And the knurled thumbprint inspired me to add some knurls to my GX shifter.

      Mates perfectly

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Love how this mates to my saint brakes. Very clean look on the bars. Great texture on the paddle as well.

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This version is for Shimano I spec. .... So you take out a shim from the brake clamp and it integrates into your break clamp taking the place of the shim. The WOLF TOOTH has a clean look on the bar , this one works for both the barrel end or the tag end of a cable depending on your dropper type.

Does this come with the Sram matchmaker hardware kit?

You have to buy the sram matchmaker kit.... and no I'm not Captain Obvious.

I have SHIMANO XTR BL-M9000 RACE BRAKES.... Which is the correct compatible option?? Shimano I-Spec A/B or Shimano I-Spec II??

You will need the I-Spec II option. Let me know if you have any further questions. You can contact me directly at 801-204-4563 or at via email:

      Looks and works great!

I recently bought the fox transfer dropper post. It doesn't come with a lever so I went with this one over the fox one. It looks and feels great. Super easy install.
