Does this lever come with cables or do I need to buy them separate? I just purchased a one up dropper post from here and I’m not sure if the cables come with the post or the lever?

PIcked up a could fox transfers for my rigs in recent months and paired them with the light action remote. Best remote I've come across--most tend to work well or at least well enough. The ergonomics of the wolf tooth just works better for me and setup is pretty simple for DIYer.

Better Than Most OEM Dropper Levers

There's a few things that I'm generally looking for in a dropper post lever: ergonomically feels right, has a nice swing action to it, and is relatively easy to set up. Nails all three pretty spot on with this! It works with pretty much all cable actuated droppers (whether dropper has cable head at bottom of post or at lever), though you should review the chart that John posted below to see whether going "Light Action" or "Regular" is the best option for you.

At first I was like "man, $70 for a dropper remote, that seems a bit steep" but then I finally got my hands on one. Right away I was impressed by the build quality and design. The billet mechining is solid and beats any other cast remote out there. Also, there a sealed bearing for the pivot which makes for buttery smooth actuation. The remote surface has an awesome gripping surface that's keep your sweaty thumb from slip-n-sliding off. I got one that was i-spec compatable which worked perfectly with my XT brakeset and cleaned up my bars perfectly. Seriously, this thing is worth every penny.

Just replaced my old Raceface Turbine Dropper lever with this awesome lever and I couldn't be more happy with it. It fits next to my front brake lever nicely, and the light action makes it easy to adjust your seat height.

I have this on my Yeti Sb6. I replaced the lever that came with fox transfer dropper, or whatever came with the build. This is a huge difference in the quality of the component itself but also in how much better my thumb sticks to it. I went with the longer lever and the force required to drop the post is way less as well. This is my first wolftooth component but based on its quality I will be looking into other wolftooth components.

I mean, let's call a spade a spade. It's the best lever on the market, and not just because the company making it told us so. Almost every forum on every website has riders boasting about how this is the first upgrade that they have made due to the fact that A) It's works, and B) It's incredibly tough. This is one of the best upgrades you could make. Trust everyone's opinion.

I mated this with a Fox Transfer dropper which i feel is absolutely fantastic. The Transfer lever however, leaves a little to be desired. There isn't much grip, it's pretty small and basically pivots on a rivet which i believe is what caused the squeak on mine. The Wolftooth has much more real estate for your thumb, much more grip for your thumb and hardly any play of any sort. It's got great tactile feedback, makes no noise and actuates smoothly. Oddly enough, the angle where the cable housing attaches to it makes for easier installation with more placement options than the factory Transfer lever.

Seamless Look on Your Bars

I purchased the Wolf Tooth Components Light Action ReMote to put my dropper lever in a more natural position in relation to my grips. I went with the Light Action over the basic ReMote because it has a longer reach and it is quick to engage. Plus with the SRAM Matchmaker it attaches to my SRAM Guide RS brakes for a seamless set-up on my bars. I could not be happier with how this functions and looks on my new Yeti SB5 LR. I would highly recommend it.

Like first reviewer, I got the surprise of having no lever included with my Fox Transfer seat post purchase. Being a newly converted roadie, it would have been helpful to list that fact on the Transfer web page. As it turns out, the Wolftooth is apparently a better option anyway, intuitive easy action to activate Seat post. I clamped it direct to bar. Install was easy too.

Perfect integration on Shimano

I bought this to go with a Fox Transfer post because a lever was NOT included. The lever works perfect with my Shimano Spec II brakes and I like the little touches that Wolf Tooth adds to the lever such as the machining on the lever surface and a shortened throw which works great with the Fox Transfer. If you find yourself needing a lever for your cable actuated post, I give this one two thumbs up. Just be sure that your post will work with the shortened throw of this particular lever.

I picked this up recently after my Fox Transfer lever broke. It was easy to install and functions very smoothly. I especially like the large, textured feel to the lever and how solidly it's built. Just keep in mind, if you're like me and need SRAM Matchmaker, you'll need to supply your own mounting bolts - as seen in the picture above. I'd definitely recommend picking one of these up for any cable-actuated dropper.
