Maintenance made easy.

Wippermann brings over 120 years of German sensibility to its Connex line of chains. If you have work to do on those chains, reach for the Connex 11-Speed Link to make maintenance quick and easy. It allows you to open and close any 11-speed chain for cleaning by hand without worrying about using tools.

Worth it

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is different from other links out there in that it can very easily be disconnected by hand, no tool required. It's sturdy and lasts a lot longer than a chain, so this link can easily give you 10,000 miles of service (I'm replacing one with 10k service right now). Even after they're a little worn, keep them in your tool pack as a quick fix for a broken chain. They come with Wippermann chains, too.

Bought this to facilitate cleaning of my chain. I have two bikes with Shimano Ultegra 6800 11 speed and have had no issues with chain skip. The chain has held through several races and has held up to three to four rides on the trainer a week. The only thing I have had to watch is that when cleaning, one of the pieces continues to fall off the chain and could get easily lost. Beyond that, has worked as described.

Love quick links

These work great....bare in mind you need to change them out every so often (depending on how much you ride, condtions (mud, sand, etc)....I've had a pin break before. Great to carry in your biking EDC too...easy chain issue "fix it".

Great solution!

I've been using the Connex 11spd quick link for a while now and it's been great! Super easy to lock/un-lock, secure and tool-free. A definite improvement from both the Shimano chain pins and the SRAM quick-link that requires special pliers. The Connex link seems to be working fine with my Shimano 11spd chain and makes it super fast and easy to remove it for proper cleaning and waxing. That's right, waxing! If you've never tried paraffin wax, look into it.
