TICKR Heart Rate Monitor
The Wahoo Fitness TICKR Heart Rate Monitor has been an integral component for fitness enthusiasts and elite athletes alike, providing physiologic data used in a myriad of ways, from workout stress and performance insight to recovery and peak-ability readiness. Updated from the previous generation to be more comfortable and discreet for any exerciser, the TICKR is a strap you’ll want to wear during any workout.
Updated features mainly concern ergonomics and comfort. However, these are areas in which the new TICKR excels from the very first wear, and are a noticed improvement over the previous generation. The integrated sensor and strap design feel more secure and stable, with less bulk to help the monitor remain in place during hard bike intervals and aggressive trail runs. The strap connections sit deeper within the monitor, which yields a slim and smooth fit to reduce pressure points on the chest and result in the TICKR being only 12.01mm thick, concealing itself well under sports bras and jersey tops. Further enhancements support connectivity across three different Bluetooth devices simultaneously. For those who have fully embraced the Wahoo Fitness training ecosystem, this is a much-needed feature. For example, with the use of an online workout platform, you will now be able to transmit heart rate data to the app, your Wahoo head-unit, and, say, a Wahoo Fitness KICKR HEADWIND for complete training experience and data capture.
Visually, the TICKR receives a sleek white or black facing with the LED lights — Red for heart rate and Blue for Bluetooth/ANT+ connection — moved to the top.
Returning features are calories estimation and workout time and heart rate, of course, as well as seamless integration with over 50 workout and training apps.
- Updated heart rate strap for all exercisers
- Track heart rate, calorie yield, and workout duration
- Slim design removes some bulk for increased comfort and stability
- Carries a Bluetooth signal for up to three devices simultaneously
- ANT+ and Bluetooth signals support modern connectivity
- New face-plate and relocated indicator lights

I would LOVE to review this device...
But it's not only not arrived... it's not even close! Backcountry really needs to investigate using a better shipper... or the USPS needs to get it's act together.

My Garmin Vivoactive 3 watch's heartrate monitor seems occasionally erratic and unreliable, so I got the TICKR to either replace or verify my heartrate tracking. Very happy so far (several indoor and outdoor rides)! It paired very easily both with my laptop running Zwift (using the same USB ANT+ dongle to control my trainer) and with my Vivoactive, so I can override the wrist HRM but still use the watch for GPS (and as a watch). I can't independently verify the accuracy, but it definitely seems more accurate and less volatile than what I was seeing with my watch, and it corresponds much more closely with perceived exertion.

***UPDATE*** I was able to get a replacement via Wahoo Customer Support. It was my first time having to contact Wahoo, and I was pleasantly suprised with how helpful and easy the process was. Just finished my ride, and the new HRM worked great. I'll continue to monitor and update as need. Raising my review to 4 stars, product works and Wahoo seems to stand behind there products. My Garmin HRM died after 2 years and I was looking forward to being able to track HR again with this product. It's terrible! I'll be doing VO2 max efforts and it's reading my HR at 130, when my heart is beating out of my chest closer to 185-190. Changed the battery multiple times with no luck. Looking into a return process or warranty process right now.

Doesn't seem fair to poorly rate the device when the fault may lie entirely with the USPS, whose struggles right now are well documented. This is a totally valid customer service complaint, but it shouldn't deter shoppers who are looking at this product.
