We're big fans of the ELEMNT BOLT, considering that setup and ease-of-use surpassed the competition by a considerable margin. The ELEMNT ROAM takes everything we loved about the BOLT and gives it some significant updates making it the most powerful and intuitive computer from the brand to date. It's not only Wahoo's first color screen display, but it also added on-device navigation capabilities, as well as integration with Singletracks and MTB Project for the mountain bikers out there. These features not only make the ROAM easier to see and use, but it can also help you find routes and get you safely back on course or to a specific waypoint when you need to most. This particular model is bundled with the Wahoo TICKR heart rate monitor, as well as the RPM speed and cadence sensors, giving you a complete package capable of analyzing all the most important metrics from your ride.

  • Roam confidently further while gathering even more data
  • Exceptionally capable and innovative ROAM cycling computer
  • Data rendered in easy to read contrast on the color screen
  • Creative routing and retracing expands exploration opportunities
  • Wireless design and user-friendly, app-based set up
  • Social connectivity via phone and companion apps
  • TICKR chest heart rate monitor for zone training
  • RPM Speed and Cadence sensors for precise, on-bike metrics

Wahoo Roam Bundle Review

I've put it through the wringer
Runs large

This was a purchased birthday gift for myself and a upgrade from my old Cateye Computer Bundle that need to be replace. So far its great using it and somewhat interesting to setup on my Specialized road bike with the various apps and functions. I have a ANGI Helmet from Specialized and setup was not bad, added just in case if I have accident and it will notice my wife and others where I'm at. Had one issue when I had a apple I-phone update that causes some issue in setup the Wahoo Element Roam app and ANGI app, had to rest my I-Phone and the Wahoo Element Roam Computer to get back to normal. Hopefully this Computer will service me well, in my quest in keeping and being fit and healthy.

I've put it through the wringer

I purchased my ROAM mid August 2020 and have been disappointed since. It is essentially a $500 bike computer providing me speed, distance, and mileage. I bought it because the reviews said it's easier to set-up than any other unit on market and I needed the turn by turn (TBT) instructions. It might be easy but it doesn't WORK!!!! I have been working patiently with tech support for almost a month now to get the TBT to display and all of a sudden when I've tried everything they suggested I no longer get a response. This unit is being returned and I'm going to the reliable alternative. I am using an Iphone, the Wahoo Companion APP, and downloading my routes from Strava. I can see the map on the ROAM map page but the unit is not providing TBT instructions.

Wahoo Roam Bundle Review

I've used it several times

I am greatly enjoying the Wahoo Roam. Being able to do all the work on my phone vs doing it on the unit itself is amazing. Also, I am enjoying using the editing function because it gives you lots of space to write notes. I have not yet used the mapping function. The HR and cadence are great...as expected. I am not using the speed sensor but the tech is cool. I switched from the Garmin 810 to get a change of pace and am very happy. Again, being able to use my phone to do the work is excellent.

Can I have your speed sensor?

Does it still work with Strava? I bought the new Garmin Edge 1030 without realizing that the newest Garmin does not support Strava segments. I don't want to pay money each month for Strava if my head unit doesn't work with Strava. I switched to Garmin from an older Wahoo because I went through four Tickr HRM, but now that Garmin doesn't work with Strava, I may switch back. I just want to know before I buy.
