Terreno Dry G2.0 Tire

Conditions have been dismal in the dry spell. Scorching summer sun has left the old rail trails, country roads, and gravel grinds parched, and coated with dust that is sent flying with every rotation of your tires. Your mud-ready hoops are feeling a bit out of place, to throw on Vittoria's Terreno Dry G2.0 Tubeless Tires to elevate your grip in the fine silt and sand. The Terreno Dry features a dry-condition specific treat with "fish scale" center that rolls quickly, and shoulder knobs that grip into the dust to elevate your braking control and cornering grip.

This particular version comes with Vittoria's TNT casing, which easily seals up for running lower air pressure and gaining bump compliance in tubeless form. The 3C rubber compound includes Vittoria's exclusive G2.0 Isotech for smoother rolling, longer tread life, and outstanding traction across off-road surfaces. For a bit more protection across rugged ground, the sidewalls are reinforced from punctures and inconvenient flats.

  • Tires that stay sure-footed in the dust and dirt
  • Tread is optimized for dry gravel and CX conditions
  • Ready to run tubeless with supple 120-TPI casing
  • 3C compound with G2.0 Isotech for smooth-rolling longevity
  • Sidewall protection prevents flats over rough terrain
  • "Fish scale" center tread for straight-line speed
  • Shoulder knobs inspire cornering confidence

Great tire performance but wears quickly

I've put it through the wringer

Overall, I am a fan of this tire especially when it is on the sale. However, I have only had these tires for less than 2 months and already the back tire is completely worn, but I never had any punctures with this tire which is a plus. I ride 75% pavement and 25% gravel and it performs great on both surfaces. I especially like this tire for wet conditions (ironic given the name) will order these tires again given the sale price.

They roll smooth on the road with plenty of grip for dirt trails. The cool thing is they have these reverse flaps that help with wet conditions, and they give you some stopping power on gravel by rolling the reverse way to create tread like bumps when it’s normally flat in the center. I usually buy them when they’re on sale because I know I’ll want them as the next pair 🤙

Install on hooked rims only

I returned this product before using it

Unfortunately, the only way to discover that these tires are safe for hooked rims only (i.e. you shouldn't use them on hookless wheels) is to read it off the side of the tire. Vittoria makes no mention of this on their site in the product description.

I've ridden mine (38c) on hookless rims (Enve G23) over a variety of mountainous gravel terrain in and around Steamboat Springs, CO and they've been fine. No blow-offs or other concerns. Excellent, grippy,. fast and enjoyable tires.

Terreno Dry G2.0 Tire - Tubeless. Do you have any idea if there is enough clearance on a BMC Roadmachine 02 3 endurance bike to fit these tires at 31mm? It came with Vittoria Rubino's 28mm. I am preparing for a nine hundred mile ride and could see tough roads to ride on where a little tread would come in handy. The Corsa Control G2.0 tire looks like a good option but was considering the price difference as well.
