Straight from the laboratory.

Out of all of the places in the world for a revolutionary tire compound to be created and fine-tuned, we can't think of many more fitting than the shores of Lake Como. It was there that Directa Plus engineered its impossibly thin graphene compound, a virtually two-dimensional sheet of carbon that, after a recent partnership, Vittoria is now using to make tires. While new technologies are consistently touted as "the next best thing" in cycling, the enhanced properties of rubber paired with graphene makes it something we expect to see more of in the future.

The Rubino Pro Speed G Plus Clincher Tire is one of the first to feature this new material with a triple compound construction that will enable you to confidently ride through a range of rainy and dry conditions you may encounter on the roads. Out of its new line of tires, Vittoria names the Rubino Pro Speed as its all-around, everyday training tire, without the pricier four-layer composition used on its more premium, race-ready siblings.

While the triple compound's targeted blend of cornering confidence and low rolling resistance is important, the tire's real selling point is the graphene. In addition to making the tires more durable and more resistant to punctures, graphene's added elasticity further increases suppleness and speed, making for a tire that wears like a training tire but has the road feel of a premium racing tire.

Training for days...

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Picked these tires up for my son to use for spring seasonal training and these tires are awesome! I wasn't as concerned about durability as he's around 135lbs, but more about the performance of the tire. Normally he is on the Vittoria Corsa G Plus tire, but this tire provides a little more durability, while still maintaining the great feel of the Corsa G Plus.
If you haven't tried the new Vittoria Tires with graphene compound, the ride is amazingly supple and the grip inspires confidence on all ability levels.
Feel free to reach out to me if you have questions about Vittoria tires or other.

Oh So Sexy and Reliable

These are the only tires I use on both of my Pinarellos. Ive had only positive experiences with them. Once I start seeing the tread wear I go ahead and order a new pair for backup! I don't want to be left without them! Fast, Sexy and Reliable all in one package. Ive ridden through debris on the sides of the road numerous times and not once have I flatted out yet. "knock on wood"

Tough, Fast, and Sexy

Bought these based on positive reviews and a belief that graphene is the new miracle compound. I am partial to Vittoria and have tried a number of tires in their line up. These are my go to for general purposes. As a recreational cyclist, I cannot justify using a true "race" specific tire but these are a nice compromise. I put a couple hundred training miles on them and then rode the harsh roads of the Gran Fondo New York (where this year many cyclists reported locals throwing tacks on the roads causing numerous flats). My buddy picked up one of these tacks in his Vittoria Diamante Pro Lights and fortunately the Campagnolo car was right there to assist and got him moving again in just a couple of minutes (not bad for having to change the tube). He later suffered a sidewall blow out and DNF. Meanwhile, my Rubino Pro Speed tires cruised through all of the debris and I have not noticed a change in rolling resistance from my Vittoria Rubino Pro III tires. In fact, call me crazy, but I feel like these are just a tad faster. I'm also a visual consumer and I like the sidewall graphics!
