Long known as a base mile favorite to its exceptional versatility and reliable durability, the Vittoria Rubino Pro just got even better. The Rubino Pro G Plus Clincher Tire brings along all the things we love about its predecessor and adds grapheme to the compound to further increase durability and lower rolling resistance for a fast ride that will last many a training mile.

This tire boasts a G+ Isotech compound, which utilizes graphene within the compound mix to reduce rolling resistance and overall weight, increase durability, and improve grip in wet weather compared to tires without the G+ Isotech compound. In a nutshell, this tire turns fast regardless of conditions and will weather the roughest of roads.

The Rubino Pro G Plus Clincher features a technical tread pattern for stability across a wide variety of road conditions including surprise gravel adventures when your favorite country road is unexpectedly graded in the middle of summer. Vittoria’s nylon anti-puncture belt adds peace of mind while fending off flats, and the ride quality afforded by the 150 TPI nylon casing will smooth out decaying tarmac and the occasional rumble strip.

All Arounders

    I was using the Corsa G + for racing and to be my fast tire. However, when going out for long training rides on rough roads, I got one too many flats with them. I switched over to these Rubinos and have not gotten a flat since then. They are great for all around riding and light and grippy.

    the PRO G PLUS

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

    my Trek came with Bontrager R1, l upgraded to the R3 and was happy. deciding to try something different l bought a set of the Pro G plus. l loved them and l ride everyday, as l'm retired, that's my thing. l ride anywhere from 30 miles to 80 miles, depends on the weather, l'm in the panhandle of Florida, 75% humidity and triple digit heat index. l finally wore the tires out and put the R3's back on. two days later l ordered a another set of the Pros. it's my go to tire

    Love These Tires

    I've found these superior from the perspective of both speed and durability. They survived a winter of bike commuting in Washington, DC without a flat. I also use them for fast-paced group rides and enjoy their stiffness, which I find aids power transfer. Several online reviews rate these tires poorly for rolling resistance (which increases with stiffness), but having transitioned to the rubinos from pure racing tires, I found the increased rolling resistance almost imperceptible. Knowing you won't flat, and having great power transfer, more than makes up for it.

    Trainer Tire

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

    Vittoria makes some great tires and this no exception, but it simply serves a purpose... training. You should race Vittoria's expensive tires and train on these. These tire fend off flats, but not the best. They roll fast, but not the best. They grip in the corners, but not the best. Know what you are looking for from these tires and don't expect more. I huge positive that most people don't initially think about is how easily tires mount. These are supple enough to mount on difficult wheels without wrestling. You will get flats no matter what tire you train on and changing flats with these is easy. Now get out there and get race ready!

    Rubino's...

    ...are the best. Great training tire for the not-so debris free roads of the southwest. Have been training on these tires for 10+ years and very few puncture, have a great tread in the wet as well. Now they come as a fold-up, so all the better...easy on and off! Highly recommend!

    Great Winter training tire

    These are the tires I run on both my bikes when the Winter season comes. They hold up well when the roads get dirty and gritty on the shoulders where the Winter muck seems to all settle. They perform very well and are very durable.

    Excellent Tire

    I've used Continental Grand Prix tires for years, but when I bought a new Boardman road bike it came with the Rubinos so I figured I'd give them a shot. Grippy on corners, nice smooth ride, and I was impressed that it took sixteen months before I got a flat-- I used to get several flats a year with the Contis. Can't comment on wet roads since I live in Southern California and it never rains.. I just bought another pair of Rubinos and we'll see how this pair holds up. So far, I'm impressed.

    All-around Great Touring & Commuter Tire

    The Rubino series is one of my favorite tires because it rides with a low rolling resistance, maintains great control on the road, and has a decent puncture resistance at a great price point. And in those horrid cases when you pinch your tire and get a flat… these tires are so quick and have some forgiveness that allow you to swap tubes with ease when under a time crunch.

    Decent Tire

    A good tire for the price, rolls fast and grips well on turns. Goat heads have no problem getting through though, hence three stars and not four.

    In the tire's defense, I'm inclined to mention the countless goat head flats I've gotten with Gatorskins, 4000s, PRO2, 3, and 4s--in short, every tire I've ever used. Goat heads are nature's equivalent to upholstery tacks, photon torpedoes, or huge-ass icebergs: no vessel can withstand a direct hit.
