Solid Road Tires

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Size Bought:
700C / 30MM

I bought a set of these tires to replace an older generation Vittoria Corsa's with cotton sidewalls. I paired them with TPU inner tubes and find the ride quality to be just-as-good with better puncture resistance, of which was the result I was wanting. Note that they do require a bit of elbow grease to get onto your rims, even though these aren't tubeless.

Better feel than Conti 5000

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Purchased a pair of Vittoria Corsa Next clinchers size 26. Only one ride, but the feel was really nice. Much better feel and grip as compared with Conti 5000s. Can’t say if they are faster or slower, but the road feel is super. Conti 5000s are practically impossible to mount. But I mounted the Corsa Next tires with my hands and no tools. Conti 5000s aren’t worth he hassle and the Corsa Next have a better ride quality.

Great Tire

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:
28mm

Call it superstition, but part of me is terrified to write this review, lest I should pick up a puncture on my next ride…but I am really enjoying the tires and think it is only fair to leave a positive review! Prior to the Corsa N.EXT I had run two full seasons exclusively on Conti GP 5000 and wanted to give these a try for comparison’s sake. Running a 28 mm on a Trek Madone SLR7 the Vittoria are definitely my preference over the Conti tires at this juncture. Handling is very nice and confident, though it is worth noting that I generally do not ride outdoors much in the rain/wet. When it has started to come down or I ride through damp patches the handling is still confident, though I back off quite a bit in those conditions. Comfort is on par with or better than the Conti tires, and it is nearly impossible to tell if there is any difference to speed. I’ll call the quality level as even, and durability appears to be on par or better at just under 1,000 miles of usage. To be fair, I’ve also had a couple of unlucky incidents with the GP 5000s, so durability and longevity are still a TBD in my mind as a true comparator. One major win for the N.EXT is ease of installation. The Conti tires were always a bear to get on and off of my rims, but I was able to easily install the Vittoria tires without levers.
