Agarro G2.0 Trail 4C Tire

All-mountain riding calls for a tire that walks a fine line in between cross-country and enduro. To start, you need something more robust than the featherweight XC hoops, but without the heavyweight commitment of an enduro-minded tire. Vittoria's Agarro G2.0 Trail 4C Tire aims to please with a balance between the two, providing considerably more grip than the Barzo cross-country tire, but without enduro bulk of the Martello. It offers leading edge steps, which work similarly to a ramped lug, but provides better climbing grip when things get technical and steep. Progressive sipes offer tactile grip on rocks and roots, which is particularly advantageous when things start to get a little slick. Vittoria employs its 4C Graphene 2.0 compound on the Agarro, which utilizes four different durometers of rubber in the treat, each one stratigically placed for the best combination of low rolling resistance, cornering stability, grip, and longevity. Graphene 2.0 takes Vittoria's original Graphene-infused compound and betters it in every way, with special attention given to wet-weather performance.

  • An all-mountain tire that walks the line between XC and enduro
  • Leading edge stepped lugs reduce rolling resistance, boost grip
  • Progressive sipes hold onto roots and rocks, shed water and mud
  • Graphene 2.0 compound improves wet weather grip
  • Trail TNT casing resists sidewall tears and pinch flats
  • G2.0 features 4 different durometer rubbers to optimize wear life and rolling speed

    Really nice set of tires

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

After hearing a friend talk about these tires, I decided to give them a try for my trail bike. I purchased the 29x2.35 for the rear and 29 x 2.6 for the front. Mounting them was easy and they maintained pressure for a few days before I had a chance to put them on the trail. They ride very well and hook up beautifully, even on steep and rooty climbs. Cornering performance is better than the Schwalbe Nobby Nics the Vittoria Agarro tires replaced and they roll beautifully. I also get the feeling that the knobs will last longer and not tear off like the Schwalbes did.
