Short Road Shoe Cover

Foggy, misty, or drizzly days threaten to make your ride dismal, but the VeloToze Short Road Shoe Cover can keep your spirits high—or at least keep your feet dry. Natural rubber latex conforms to your shoe's unique shape to seal out moisture from the sky or splashing up from the road. This non-absorbent material is water- and wind-resistant to keep your shoes, and therefore feet, protected from the elements as you pedal. This lightweight cover slides on and off easily, securing around the cleat and heel so you still get a solid grip on your pedals or the ground.
  • Shoe cover for damp days on your bike
  • Flexible design conforms to your shoe
  • Water- and wind-resistant for protection
  • Compatible with cleats for a solid grip
  • Slip-on style eliminates closure vulnerability

    Rips

    Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    Fit:
    True to size

The left one ripped when taking these off after my first ride... I was extra careful and followed instructions but the material is just too thin, I had the tall version which is even harder to deal with. On the ride they were awesome... nice and aero, light and snug on the shoes to keep the feet warm on a 40 degree ride, loved it until taking them off. Buy at your own risk.

Si bien para la crono son muy buenos y la aerodinamia queda perfecta, son muy difíciles de poner y muy delicados con las roturas. Una vez que aprendes a colocarlos es mas facil, los he usado un par de veces y uno ya esta roto en la parte de abajo.

Great for what they are designed to do

    Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

What to expect: * Dry feet * Aerodynamic improvement If you are cycling in the cold and wet, these can help, though they are not entirely foolproof if there is a downpour. If you are a time trialist looking to get a few watts of aero advantage, these do the trick! I'll take all I can get. What they're not: * Long-term durable They will eventually rip. I used them for a season's worth of time trialing, and yes, one eventually ripped. Don't expect them to last forever. But given their low price, that's okay.

Have you ever owned a product that you really wanted to like but just couldn't? Well, here it is. First, and despite the instructional videos, they are a royal pain to put on. After a few minutes of tugging, stretching, and cursing, they finally snap into place. Second, the material (rubber) is designed to stretch tight over your shoes but eventually gets punctured or rips on the boa, levers, or velcro straps present on all cycling shoes. I've had a few pairs of these, thinking it was me. It's not -- they are just not fit for purpose. Too bad, a thin, short shoe cover would be perfect for Fall and Spring.
