Why We Like The PowerPod V4 Power Meter

Velocomp's PowerPod V4 Power Meter is new and improved with better performance, GPS tracking, and updated firmware. The V4 uses the same pitot tube as in the AeroPod, and that pitot tube improves wind measurement accuracy in cross-winds and performance when the showers come in. This powermeter is lightweight at just 32 grams, and it's easy to install and transfer from bike to bike. Best of all, it'll improve performance without breaking the bank.

  • An affordable and efficient powermeter for improved performance
  • Pitot tube improves wind measurement accuracy in cross-winds
  • Easy to mount to any 31.8mm handlebar
  • Data analysis lets us model things like rolling resistance and drag
  • Lightweight at just 32 grams

Don’t waste your money

I m very disappointed by this item. First I had to buy additional sensors so I could use it and it took me a couple of weeks to get those. It take time on each ride to get going. the power shows 0 or a number up to 50 for a long time. Eventually it gets to the right power. Each time you change from a hill to a descent or move into the wind, the pod is lost and goes to zero again for a few minutes. When you hit it with your knee or hand, the pod once shot to 40000 watt according to my upload. When it spikes to over 1000 it takes 5 to 10 minutes to get back to my 120-250 watt range. It seems to be in the probably correct range 25 to 35% of the time. May be my item is defective. It s very disappointing and too complicated.
