Love the design; materials no so much

I've bought several of these and other Uswe hydration pack products. I love the design of the gear, and I will buy more -- they deserve 4 stars. They do not deserve 5. That's because, to the extent I want to use the design, I've been required to buy new packs every so often, because I've experienced consistent failures with zippers and valves over the years. I broke my first zipper during the Leadville 100 and used duct tape to repair that. During that same race, the valve on one of my two Uswe packs started leaking. By the finish line, my leg was coated in sugary drink mix residue. Those packs were maybe 6 months old at the time, although they had put in a lot of miles. I think the design is far superior to other hydration packs on the market. Maybe I am just hard on my gear, but maybe Uswe can make a product with better zippers (I'm not as concerned with valves, as they can generally be replaced).
