Airborne 9L Hydration Pack

Relentless swinging of hydration packs is not only an annoyance on the trail, it can legitimately hinder your riding by throwing off your weight balance, and causing pain through the back and shoulders. USWE aims to mitigate the bounce with its No Dancing Monkey technology in the Airborne 9L Hydration Pack. The Airborne 9L makes for an ideal day pack, thanks to its lofty 3-liter hydration reservoir, and ample pocket space for stashing your tools, snacks, and phone — but where the pack really excels is in eliminating bounce and sway while you ride. That's because USWE employs the NDM Race Suspension Harness, rather than the traditional waist and chest belt, to secure the pack in place. NDM fastens to your chest with stretchy straps and hook-and-loop tabs, so you can dial in the fit without feeling restricted. The straps adjust massively, accommodating riders size medium through extra-large, securing snugly around a chest between 33 and 44-inches. The pack keeps comfort going beyond the suspension harness with high vent foam shoulder straps, and a ventilated back panel with anti-slip ridges to help channel cool air towards your core.

Inside the pack you'll find a Hydrapak Elite 3.0-liter bladder, capable of stowing all of the life-giving liquid you need for a hefty ride that packs in the miles. The Hydrapak Elite uses a slide-seal top that opens wide for easy filling, and securely closes for a leak-proof seal. It's fully reversible, making cleaning and drying a breeze, plus its dishwasher safe, so you can be sure to kill any of those lingering flavors from water you forgot to drain out at the end of last season. Beyond the reservoir, the Airborne 9L offers you an assortment of organization pockets, with water-resistant media pockets, mesh pockets for spare tubes and CO2, and elastic straps that keep your multi tool and tire levers right where you need them, when you need them.

  • Stabilize your ride with USWE's bounce-free hydration pack
  • No Dancing Monkey Suspension Harness secures pack in place
  • Adjustable, elastic chest straps fit riders with 33-to-44in chest
  • Large, dishwasher-safe reversible reservoir makes cleaning a breeze
  • High vent shoulder straps and ventilated back let cool air in
  • Ample stash pockets for keeping gadgets and gear secure

Nice pack but not exactly like the photo

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
True to size

This is a nicely designed hydration pack, but I am a bit disappointed that the interior where the bladder is stored does not match the photos. In the photos, the bladder looks like it sits in a nice zip-up pouch, but the product that i received does not have that. I even got a replacement from Competitive Cyclist, but the replacement is the same as the one I received originally.

Bag is great, bladder not so much.

I've used it several times

Bought this bag with bladder on July 27th and have had it out on maybe 10 rides. The bag has not been involved in any crashes and I take good care of my gear. Just last weekend I noticed a very small stream of water shooting out from where the bag is sealed at the bottom side. I've had this bag less than 2 months and the bladder failed? That's unacceptable considering this is supposed to be a premium product and has a price that reflects that. I have bags and bladders from other brands for years and never have they failed like this. This is my first USWE purchase and looks like it'll be my last. Disappointing.

The perfect pack for me!

I've put it through the wringer

I started with the smaller hydration pack by USWE and loved it. The pack is perfect if you like to huck off drops, ride technical dh's with roots and rocks because it does what it advertises!! This thing stays put and doesn't bounce around on my back and was great for parks(but, rarely worn at park). I bought the larger hydration pack because I ran out of water a couple of times on large rides. The large one is just as good on the short rides, great for longer ones and has a huge amount of room..... so, it is a little heavier now, but the bladder seems adequate for my larger rides. After you get it together it's easy to adjust on the fly, and the velcro straps are super strong. I'm 5'9" 170 lb's.

I love my uswe hydration pack. Plenty of room for storing snacks, tools, and spare tube. The pack is comfortable and doesn’t bounce at all during the ride. I wouldn’t get any other pack.
