After spending a long weekend conquering a thru-hike you've had on your list for a few years now, you're spent. Your massive pack helped you lug all of the gear you needed comfortably while you were out in the backcountry, but that doesn't mean you want to see it, much less put it on again, for a little while. Amazing design, not for smaller ladies
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit:
- True to size
- Size Bought
- S/M
- Height
- 5` 6"
- Weight
- 130 lbs
I bought this bag with the intent to use it adventure racing. I love the design of this bag. It has fantastic storage pockets, is very adjustable, is well thought out and looks great! I am a small-framed woman and was hoping that I could get away with the S/M men's bag, but unfortunately that is not the case. I couldn't cinch the chest straps down enough to be truly snug (close! I really tried!) and I definitely couldn't do that with my reservoir magnetic piece on the strap. Plus, the straps were just a little too long and extended past my rib cage and onto my abdomen - I only really noticed this after about 4 miles of hiking, but I wasn't going to stop noticing once it started. This might work for someone who is a little wider framed or who has more up top than I do (I'm a 32A...) to fill out the straps. I so, so wanted this to be my bag but I'm going to return it and get the FastpackHER instead.

Great run commuting bag
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I bought this bag when I decided to make a go at run commuting. I live about 4.5 miles from work, and take both trails and roads to get there. This pack has been great for carrying my laptop and some personal items daily with little to no bounce! You could easily use the laptop sleeve for a bladder (which I haven't tried yet but plan to). I will add I don't carry a full change of clothes and my lunch all at once, but you likely could if you don't need layers or don't eat a ton. The outside show pockets are great for my breakfast burrito and coffee thermos, which I take to work daily. My ONLY complaint about the bag is it doesn't fit my female frame quite as much as I'd like. Since I have lady lumps up top, but normal sized lady shoulders, I have to cinch the top buckle almost all the way to curb any bouncing, but that causes the top of the straps to chafe on my neck. I've tried adjusting the side straps (underarm), and playing with the bottom strap, but really the back could use a female redesign or more sizing options so the back straps are maybe farther apart of slightly smaller in size so they don't crawl up my neck when I run. For reference I'm 5'10", 160lbs, 36C.

Great for a lightweight, efficient daypack. Comfortable for running, and seems durable after a couple months of daily use.

Going to work on the West Slabs eh? Has anyone used this with a laptop??? Curious how much bounce there is while running. I live 3 miles to work, and would love to start commuting on foot.
