The easiest choice for tubulars

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This tape is great! You can pretend to slave away at gluing tubulars for days but in reality you can mount a new tire in about 10 min. Make sure you clean the rims as much as possible before installing and take your time centering the tire tread.

Super easy to use.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just used this tape for the first time on a set of wheels. After the first rim, I put the second tyre on in 6 minutes. Will check back after having to remove and replace a tyre.

What's your impression of the tape after some use?

Ok for road

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This will work for a road tire but when you need something for cross/mtb I wouldn't recommend tape. The higher volume of a road tire will help old the tire in place whereas in the dirt you tend to want to run low pressure which is harder on the mastic.

Hum, reading the box, it says "Road Tubular Tyres". Having glued up 100's of tyros, I found this very easy to use. I timed the second rim I taped. It took 6 minutes. AND I did not rush.
