Descendant Carbon Eagle DUB Crankset

Just because you like to charge head first in to chunky rock gardens doesn't mean your crankset has to scale in at sky-high downhill-grade weights. Let the Truvativ Descendant Carbon Eagle DUB Crankset with Boost spacing shed some grams on your Eagle setup, while giving you the heavy-metal feel that you trust for busting out enduro laps. This crankset combines Truvativ's proprietary carbon fiber crank arms with the new DUB spindle, compatible backwards and forwards with just about any bottom bracket standard you can dream up, to provide a solid ride feel that doesn't waiver under pressure.

DUB technology takes the ever changing bottom bracket standards and throws in a uniform approach, offering a spindle that securely fits into any SRAM DUB bottom bracket, which is available in an array of standards, from English threaded, to PF30 and BB30, with more on the way. This means that regardless of the bottom bracket shell standards you're running, you'll be able to pair this wide and stable spindle in a bottom bracket that fits your bike just right. Because the spindle and bottom bracket are designed to pair together, you'll find a better seal against contamination, making it an ideal setup for those of us who ride in sandy, muddy, or wet conditions.

The Descendant Carbon Eagle crankset also gives you the benefit of running with an Eagle drivetrain. It uses SRAM X-Synch 2 technology, with more aggressive teeth that are designed for improved chain retention, and a smoother, more efficient pedal stroke feel. It's is compatible with any level of Eagle from GX to XX1, as long as its paired with an Eagle chain. This makes for a seamless interface, with the svelte look of carbon to give you XC weights with enduro-ready durability.

  • An enduro-ready crankset that minimizes weight
  • Truvativ carbon fiber is incredibly stiff and durable
  • DUB spindle is compatible with tons of BB standards
  • Paired with a DUB BB, spindle has a better seal for longer life
  • Ride it on your boosted bike with offset chainring
  • SRAM's X-Synch 2 chainring for better chain retention
  • Fully compatible with any Eagle 1x drivetrain

It has it all!

I've used it several times

I love these Cranks. They are light, stiff, good looking and reasonably priced. What's not to love?

Great Value

I've used it several times

These are a great option if you're looking for a carbon crankset, but don't want to spend $400-$500 for Race Face or X01 / XX1. They look great on any bike, are pretty light and deliver excellent performance.

Are these cranks compatible with my 2018 Yeti 5.5 GX Eagle build?

Yes. All SRAM Eagle products work with each other. GX can be used with XX1, X01, or NX. They all work with one another

Hello Brett, Yes, this crankset is compatible with the 2018 Yeti 5.5 as long as the proper bottom bracket is used. The bottom bracket you would need can be found on our site by searching item SRM00D5. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any additional questions or need anything else.

Dub makes it easy

I've put it through the wringer

Dub takes the questions out. Plus the cranks are sick looking and stiff AF. Slightly heavier than XO, but worth the increased durability, IMO.

Worth the money

I've had this crank on a couple different bikes now and have been quite impressed with it. For the money, it's pretty light, holds up to a lot of abuse, and looks good on the bike. The DUB platform helps save a bit more weight off, while still seeming plenty stiff for your average rider. I usually put the small crank boots on the arms to keep marks from pedal strikes at a minimum.
