Why We Like The Lilium Short Shell

For all-day enduros and mountain laps, we need a short that can provide both protect from the sun and brambles as well as breathe and wick moisture. The Troy Lee Lilium Short does just that, in a 4-way stretch fabric so we can maneuver through the trees and an adjustable waist to fine tune the fit. Three zippered pockets keep phone and fuel close at hand, while the strategic perforated fabric enhances breathability to keep us cool on the uphill sections.

Great trail short

I love the fit of these shorts. I prefer baggies... but not too baggy. The features that make these shorts stand out to me are the perfectly placed pockets, low rise waist, and incredible flattering length/fit of the legs. The emerald color is a beautiful blue/green. I?m 5?9? and these are just above my knees, but taper nicely without being too fitted. I will save for other colors!

Comfotable

I purchased a small and medium of this short. The medium was HUGH. The small wasn't sung yet fit close. Similar to road cycling shorts. The length was at the knee so these will be great shorts when I need to wear knee pads for DH riding. The waist was high in the back so when you lean over they don't fall down - no pinching either in the front or sides. They were a close fit - not truly snug, however compared ot the medium, the short fit well.

I purchased a small and medium. I kept the small. The mediums were hugh overall. The waist fit, however beyond that there was just too much short. If you want something really loose these will work

Stylish, comfy and quick drying

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

In search of a new MTB wardrobe I tried the Lilium shorts, along with other styles in the Troy Lee Designs 2020 women?s line. Lillium has become my go-to short all summer! High quality quick-drying stretch nylon, air flow perforations on the inner thighs, pockets in all the right places, and a superior wide waistband that keeps the shell shorts mostly in place and not creeping down during big mountain climbs in Utah. I am using the more durable Gore C5 liner short instead of TLD?s liner (that I bought separately and had quality issues). Lillium shell short in size small fits me great, I am 5?7? 120 lbs. Bought this short in 4 colors and have paired it with the matching Lillium short sleeve jersey (upsizing the jersey to size M). Cute enough to wear off the bike, I been living in these shorts all summer.
