TopeakSmartGauge D2 Pressure Gauge
Item # TOP001F
SmartGauge D2 Pressure Gauge
It doesn’t matter how many years are under your belt; squeezing a tire is no way to determine proper inflation pressure. Topeak's SmartGauge D2, however, is the proper solution to quantifying your pressures.
The gauge features Topeak's rotating SmartHead, meaning it'll work seamlessly with both Presta and Schrader valves without changing parts. The digital gauge reads up to 250 psi, so it can be used with suspension components as well as tires. Topeak's SmartGuage D2 can also be programmed to show pressure in psi, Bar, or kg/cm2.
- Topeak's gauge for providing accurate tire pressure
- Compact enough to toss in your pocket to keep tires primed
- LCD display can be programmed to show PSI, Bar, or KG/cm2
- Compatible with both Presta and Schrader valves
- Reads up to 250-PSI or 17-Bar

tried a second one and still didn't work
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I sent one back as defective and received a replacement (thanks for great service CC) which also didn't work. Even took it to my local shop to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious. This mfg. may have a batch problem?

Not accurate at all
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Only had the pressure gauge for a month and it stopped reading accurately. Didn't matter how much I pumped up the tire, it always read low at 7-8 psi. I reset it and still the same. Then it stopped working all together so I went to change the battery and noted some corrosion which is weird because it stays stored in a dry area of my house and has never gotten wet. I cleaned the corrosion and put a new battery in and it turned back on but still was reading the pressures wrong. maybe i just got a dud.

Tire pressure makes the difference

I've been riding for decades and usually just use the squeeze test for checking tire pressure. I bought this tire gauge. Super-easy to use and found out that I've been under-inflating my road and mtb tires by a lot. My road tires have had around 42 PSI (tubeless, 700x32) and now I have them at 65 PSI still below the 75 max and the bike is now gliding. My MTB tires were around 35 PSI and now riding around 45 - I'm able to go around turns faster with more control. I was reading an article about tire pressure recently and this had made a huge difference in my riding.

Good Overall
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Picked up this gauge for gravel riding as I like to adjust pressures based on riding conditions. Easy enough to use, although there were a couple times the unit did not read pressure, but a quick reset fixed the issue. The unit is pretty light, wish the shape was more friendly for jersey pockets or top tube bag.

Good gauge
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I've had this gauge about a month now and I like it! It is well designed, easy to use and based on comparisons with other gauges that I know to be accurate, this one is accurate from trail bike pressures through gravel bike pressures up to road bike pressures.

works fine, might as well get the blackburn one with a lifetime warranty.

Works Well

This gauge works relatively well. I keep it in my tool kit in the back of my truck to check pressure pre-ride. Adds confidence to your pressure choices.

Great to have on hand
This is so much more accurate than the standard air gauge

It works. It shows you the PSI in your bike tires. It seems to be consistent with the PSI. There you go.

Best One I've Used and Abused
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Dead easy to use, accurate in typical road, mtb, 'cross pressure ranges. Good battery life, easy to read, works equally well on presta or schrader. I've got one I've been using for 5 years, battery typically goes at least a year and I check pressure almost daily. I had a second one I kept in my ride kit in my jersey that I dropped and broke the yellow selector tab on but that was a freak accident, replaced it with a new one straight away. Best one I've seen or used, highly recommended.

What is the accuracy of this gauge and what is the lower limit of pressures it will read with accuracy? Looking for something that will work on fat bike tires down to 4psi. thanks

Will this work with unthreaded CO2 cartridges? The kind you can buy in bulk for cheap.

Sorry, but I don't understand the question? Do you want to check the pressure on the CO₂ cartridge?

It's quite accurate but for fat bike tires you are going to need a gauge designed for those pressures. It will read in the 4 psi range but I have my doubts about accuracy at that level.
