No fore here.
Tifosi eyewear offers the perfect compromise -- optical quality and stylishness that rival the offerings of Oakley and Rudy Project, a variety of lens options along the lines of what you expect from Smith, but a price closer to what you'd pay for glasses in a bargain bin at a truck stop on I-40. Tifosi is the perfect option for those of us who've broken and lost enough $150 glasses to pledge "Never Again!" about the high-dollar stuff.
Tifosi isn't in the business of making cheap eyewear. Rather, when you're wearing them it's a challenge to distinguish their optical quality from that of glasses twice or three times the price. They give you a wide field of vision that's totally distortion-free, and you'll think you're wearing a pair of $150 shades.
The Slip glasses are shaped so they fit the full range of face sizes. We sell them in two frame colors -- Pearl White and Matte Black. Both options come with three sets of lenses -- Smoke for sunny days, an AC Red for overcast conditions, and Clear for night riding. The frames are made with Grilamid TR-90 -- a nylon with exceptional bendability, strength, and toughness against impact and UV damage. Not only are they virtually indestructible, but they are all-but-weightless, allowing the Slip to weigh in at an amazing 25g. Once you have them on they stay in place, too, thanks to their hydrophilic rubber adjustable temples and nose piece.
Other Slip highlights include Tifosi's Glare Guard reflective coating to reduce glare and decrease eye fatigue. Each set of lenses provides 100% UVA and UVB protection, and they're ventilated for increased air flow and greater resistance to fogging. They also include a carrying case and a Microfiber lens wipe.

Great glasses, great price.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
These cycling glasses are awesome.
Tifosi makes cycling sunglass only. They are a husband & wife US owned & operated company.
I've used my Tifosi "Slip" glasses weekly now for 3 years. The frames are really strong; the bike specific shape stays put on your face; and the nose piece is strong and very well designed -these stay put!
The lenses are ventilated and this does help them from fogging up -even in high-humidity situations like riding in fog, mist, or drizzle. Nice.
Three different lenses are included: a sunny day lens (smoke), an overcast lens (ac red), and a clear lens for night time use (or very cloudy winter days). I take advantage of the ability to change lenses frequently!
By the way, if you break a lens (I sat on one accidentally); replacement lenses are only $15 from "pro-lens" dot com.
Comfortable, Great for Cycling
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
Surprisingly good for wind and comfortable with a helmet for 4+ hours. I would prefer a little more vertical height in coverage but I don't miss it on the rides. Great for cycling but not perfect for my other uses because of the lack of height. I may pick up another pair for cycling backups.
Great glasses at a compelling price

In the past I have had Oakley (Minute and X Metal Juliet), Wiley X (Airrage) and an assortment of less expensive Polarized glasses from places like Gander Mountain etc. While I loved my Oakleys while I had them the price has become far higher than the value I feel they deliver. Wiley X were great but I found the lenses to scratch extremely easily and the generic polarized glasses can actually be a great value in economical and practical terms. The styling of the Tifosi Slip frames caught my eye along with the interchangeable lenses. After doing some research and pricing additional lenses I decided to give them a go. The frames have a quality feel that I would say is equal to that of Oakley. The plastic is on the more rigid side and doesn't have the flexibility of the Wiley X Airrage frames. The frames have a secure fit that stays comfortable all day long; for me anyway. The nose pads are soft and sit comfortably on the face are easily replaced. I haven't had an opportunity to use the yellow and clear lenses that came with my frames but the Clarion red lenses have been great. They seem to be quite scratch resistant and clean up easily. They only flaw is that in direct bright light in front of the lenses produces a veiling glare that can be annoying but for 99% of situations they are fine. If you are coming from polarized lenses you will most likely immediately miss that these lenses aren't polarized and situations pop up where I still notice they aren't (notably fishing.) There are polarized lenses available and I plan to add them to my case; thus the beauty of interchangeable lenses. Speaking of the case it is also of highh quality, rigid and lined with soft felt and has a removable felt "wallet" that holds two additional lenses. Overall a great product. if you are tired of paying too much for overpriced sunglasses and don't care if people recognize the logo over your temple but still want a pair of high quality frames then give these a try.
How do I order replacement nose pads for...
How do I order replacement nose pads for this frame?
We unfortunately do not carry the small parts or replacement lenses for these glasses. Hitting up Tifosi Optics directly would be your best bet.
Replaced Native Dash SS with these glasses. Much easier to swap lenses and broader eye coverage. Much less expensive than Native or Oakley
If you don't want to spend a lot, they are a very good value. If they're a little more than what you want to spend, it's still worth the extra $ over cheaper glasses. Optics are very good, lenses are easy to change, and they're comfortable. I enjoy my Smith V90s a little more, but I'd still be wearing these had it not been for my dog eating the dark lense. Luckily she left the frame alone so they still do clear lense duty.
