Thick lens, blurry edges

I bought these because they don't have frames, so I thought the view would be clear even on the edges, but not the case. For example, when driving, if want to keep my head forward for driving but quickly move my eyes down to turn the temperature knob, I have a distinct blurry spot at the edge of the lens. It's bad enough that when I have to glance around a lot by just moving my eyes, not my head, I just take them off. They're fine glasses otherwise, but when driving or kayaking or cycling, and I want to keep my head straight and simply move my eyes for looking in different directions, there's a major blurry spot on the edges.
