Snug Fit

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Bought these for my Honda HRV. Fit great with fit kit. Stable on the roof with my 2 kayaks. Wound definitely recommend for a much more cost efficient option than getting roof rails and another foot pack. After driving 8 hours and back from the Black Hills with 2 kayaks strapped onto J-bars, these held on perfectly.

Unanswered Question

Does this come with everything needed to install other then the load bar

Work well, a bit fiddly to install

These took me a minute to get lined up and locked into place on my little honda fit, but now that I have, they work great. There is a bit of wind noise, but it is not that noticeable at highway speeds, especially if you have music playing.

Had to return

Had to return because it is not compatible with the aero blades. I repeat. NO COMPATIBLE WITH AEROBLADES

    No Bueno

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought these for a 2013 Ford F150 and I'm wishing I would have stayed with Yakima. I have the correct fit kit and everything (I even called Thule) but my doors will not seal and water leaks in. Plus the extra noise doesn't help either. I've tried mounting them in different spots but nothing helps. I'm super disappointed.

    Does it's job!

These hold the cross bars in place very well. Super easy to install, just don't forget to buy the fitkit for your car.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I couldn't be happier with this purchase 5 years ago when I got my new Subaru. This set up has lasted and I haven't taken it off my car yet.

I do wish I got the AeroBlade's as they are quieter and dont eat up as much gas mileage but, the square bars get the job done.

I cant recommend putting over 50lbs on the square bars but, I can tell you that I have done it and not had an issue. I have had a fully loaded cargo box and a mountain bike at the same time on the square bars and drove across the country without an issue. If you look at my bars now though you can see a slight bend in them but, it has not hurt the performance of them at all.

If you have any questions such as:

    Car compatibility?

Should I go with Yakima or Thule?

Is it worth the upgrade to the better bars?

What mounts can fit on the square bars?

Feel free to contact me directly!

    Great Product!

These are awesome they worked well with my car. It looks great and has enough weight load for my skis and bike.

To put bars on your truck

I ordered the Traverse foot pack and fit kit 1511 for my 2014 Tacoma and they work great. The recommended weight limit is only 110 lbs total but that's plenty. This performs exactly as expected. This foot pack was used for the bars on the cab, not the shell. This foot pack came with the Thule bar ends for the cross bars, so you don't have to order those separately.

To put bars on your truck

    Totally worth the money.

The 1210 is the correct foot bed for a 06 WRX without a factory rack(there isn't one for that year btw). These and the Traverse Foot Pack will give you a great base to put a box or a set of ski racks on. It looks great and at least for my car doesn't make that much noise even with boards on the roof. It beats trying to fit four people and boards in the car to go boarding.

    Totally recommended.

Probably after a year this things are still like new. Very secure! You can put a lot of weight in your roof without compromise your car.

    Totally recommended.

    A lot of weight

I drive in bad roads because of my work (tour guide) with extra weight. Probably total over 60Kg. on the roof. 4 bikes + the steel frame to support the bikes. Super secure.

    A lot of weight

    Secure Transport

Excellent system! I was always a Yakima Dodge Ram, no Yakima parts available! Thule Rules! Still use my Yakima 'Dry Dock' for the rear end. There is a wind fairing available from Thule and in my opinion it is a must have! It greatly reduces wind noise and looks cool too!

how many are in a pack, two? or four?

how many are in a pack, two? or four?

There are two pack kits available....just purchased one this last weekend.

      Nice and easy

I was able to fully install this as well as the foot kit and bars I had already in less than an hour. SUPER clean and easy install didn't take much work what so ever. You will need to purchase the fit kit (specific to your car which you can find the one you need on Thule's website) in addition to these bad boys. You will also need to then buy the bars and last but not least whatever attachments you want on top of the bars. Now that it's installed these things aren't budging at all, look super clean and with the One Key Lock which I also purchased was able to complete the setup nice an securely.
