Description

Why We Like The Bed Rider Truck Mount

If you want something a little more organized than just piling the bikes in the back of the pickup truck or hanging your dual crown fork over the tailgate, install the easy-to-use Thule Bed Rider Truck Mount. This mount fits in the bed of your truck without any drilling or bolting, and it holds two bikes in its 9mm quick-release style fork mounts. The mount features a One-Key lock system to secure the bikes to the carrier and the carrier to your truck so you won’t have to worry when you stop for pre-ride supplies or a post-ride sixer.

  • A secure way to carry bikes in the bed of your truck
  • Two bike capacity has room for your friend, too
  • Compatible with 9mm quick-release skewers

Relatively inexpensive but limited

I've used it several times

True to size

Trying to file a solution to what I thought would be a simple question -- how do I safely and securely travel with my bikes in the bed of my pickup. Out of the dust and danger. Turning out to be a question without an easy answer. This rack isn't a bad answer but is incomplete. It sets up super-easy (I have a full sized Ram) and is secure, as in it doesn't move, once it is tightened. But it offers zero protection from theft. Yes there is a lock but the lock is only on the side-to-side pressure, nothing locks it from just simply being yanked upward. It's a quality made part, but the design offers a limited solution. Also, you need an adapter for any thru-axles. The Thule model is about $70, I bought one for about $15 from that evil empire 'A' which does the same job. But note when you install one of these adapters the whole thing can rotate about the Thule mount (just the way it is designed.) I have resorted to lashing the bike in after it is in the rack so it won't move. Lame... Somebody please come out with a secure, multi-bike solution for a truck bed...please!!!

Pleasantly surprised

Thule made rack heavier than I expected. Easy to set up and it works great.
