The Thule Adventure Touring Pannier is functional enough to transition between all the different genres of your cycling life. You want to load up letters of transit to rush to the airstrip and save your former lover and her revolutionary husband? Roll through multiple Andean passes in search of the lost idol? Go grocery shopping for a baguette and head of green leaf lettuce that you then spill all over the parking lot in front of a pending love interest and his golden retriever as a metaphor for your unfulfilled, out-of-control life? Well, you'll need to learn how this Pannier works. It's a complicated artifact, but it's key to performing what's expected of these roles.
OK, it's not actually that complicated. Its capacious, 1,648 cubic inches of space are easy to fill courtesy of the wide, hungry mouth, and the roll top design and water-resistant, non-PVC material keep your cargo dry without the negative environmental impact of cheaper, PVC bags. The bag also includes a side pocket on either end for quick access to personal effects. These pockets are also transparent, so you can pop a safety light in there without fiddling about with seatpost clips and screwdrivers. Reflective elements also provide a battery-free method to help keep you visible in low-light conditions.
The Pannier's vanishing hardware is a feature unique to Thule. It flips around, transforming instantly from a secure, utilitarian way to rack your genre-specific cargo to an innocuous Thule nameplate. It also keeps the mounting bits from digging into your back while you carry the pannier by its handles or removable shoulder strap. With the hardware hidden, the Pannier stands out far less than a battered fedora on an Ivy League campus between archaeological heists — err, expeditions.

Cargo for dayyys!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Use this panier on my commuter bike. Holds everything I need and packs down nicely. I choose the Yellow for visibility.
Those Swedes have done it again
Someone at Thule decided to reinvent the age-old pannier attachment system we've all become accustomed to. These bags use a spring-loaded double helix mechanism to attach to the top rail and a magnet for the bottom. I bought the small ones to mount on Salsa Down Under front racks. Works great!
There appears to be 2 size options, but in the dimensions, there is only 1 option. Can you provide more detailed information? Thanks!
