Recovery Must

I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review Is my personal opinion :) For some context, dear reader: I am not great at moderation. My preferred kind of excursion is a Big Dumb Ride--many miles, lots of climbing, some chonk, etc. While biking is my primary activity, I'm also a runner and xc skier etc etc. I was *stoked* to get the Therabody Theragun Elite from Backcountry to try out, especially as it arrived just before riding the White Rim Trail as a day lap. The Theragun Elite is robust, to be sure, yet not so huge as to limit bringing it along for ride weekends to help aid recovery. It is also *really quiet* which is a huge plus for me, living with roommates, as well as not distracting from whatever TV show I have on in the background... I like the variable massage speed, and the various attachments to best suit different muscle groups: from the larger end for quads to the scraper bub to get into tight calves and shoulders after a full day riding. My only gripe with the Elite is the lack of moveable head. The Pro model has an adjustable arm, so that you can better reach and treat different areas. While I don't often miss this feature, it is something I notice when trying to massage my shoulders especially. Overall, really pleased to have this in my recovery tool kit, to help recover better and faster, and get back to more Big Dumb Rides.

The Bees Knees

I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review Is my personal opinion of the Theragun Elite. I am a 35 year old cyclist, runner, and adventure seeker. The Theragun Elite has brought me back to life after long rides and has really helped me to continue operating at my best. The app is better than I expected and the routines are pretty straightforward if that's your jam. Personally, I like to play it fast and loose without the app BUT the app has an 'optimal force' dial that lets me know if I'm pushing too hard. While there is evidence that percussive therapies are beneficial I'd recommend seeing a PT if you've got some serious kinks to work out. Regardless, if you're trying to keep your body running smoothly I think you'll find that a Theragun is worth the investment.

I'm A Believer

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Fit:
True to size

I'm an outdoor junkie who likes to remain active year-round. Now in my 30s, it's hard to keep up with my ambition the way I used to. With my many miles also comes some damage, and I have chronic knee and neck pain that sometimes keeps me from doing the activities I want to. With the TheraGun Elite, I have more hope. It pairs with the TheraGun app to help you relax, or rejuvenate your muscles. I've been using this gun for after-ride care on my neck and legs and I have seen an improvement in my overall performance. With the relief, my neck and body are feeling I'm also sleeping better! TheraGun has a number of tinctures and programs that will help anyone drift into a better deeper sleep. This design also boasts the quietest model on the market. The machine does produce noise, but not loud enough to disrupt my favorite podcast or TV show. As my subject indicates, I never used to think about recovery guns, but now I swear by them.
