Would this fit the cheaper/smaller Cateye Computers? Specifically the Velo 7 or Velo 9?

Doesn't fit the Velo 7 or 9, has to be a wireless Cateye computer to fit in it.

Just what I needed!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I wanted to get my computer off of my step so I purchased this mount. It is well constructed and works great! Gets my computer out in front of me where I want it and really wasn't a bad price. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting this style of setup for their computer.

Not as described-but it works

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I did not get an answer to my question below so I went ahead with ordering one of these because it is a good idea. Disappointed upon receipt of a molded plastic piece that probably costs a couple of bucks to produce. Certainly not the 'machined aluminum bracket' described above. On the positive side it does work as advertised, puts the Cateye unit out where it is easier to see, and since it has a lifetime replacement why should I worry? Because-it should sell for <$10, that's why.

Follow Up: I talked to Tate Labs who manufactures this item and they said it was NEVER made of aluminum-always Delrin (engineered plastic) so the mistake was in CC's description which they have corrected. It works great-it's just a little overpriced as is the case with most highly specialized items.

Is this the original aluminum product? I'm seeing on blogs that people are receiving plastic units that they are not too happy with.
