Deva Bottle Cage
We'll admit it; we love shaving weight off of our bikes. While we haven't been fully diagnosed with the weight weenie syndrome, we absolutely refuse to sacrifice performance or durability in the quest of shedding additional grams.
One product that we have had zero reservations about putting on our bike is the Deva Bottle Cage from Tacx. It's constructed from carbon reinforced nylon and weighs an astonishing 32 grams, while its cylindrical shape provides a firm grip on bottles. Blast over railroad tracks and rough country roads without fear of the dreaded bottle ejection. Unlike other cages that promise a vice-like hold, this one has been designed so that the bottle can be inserted and removed easily and smoothly. Trusted by many pro teams, the Diva cage is ready to find a home on your bike's downtube and seat tube.
- Lightweight, strong carbon fiber bottle cage
- Carbon reinforced nylon provides light, durable design
- Easy entry makes for convenient use

Well it happened! My beloved Tacx Taos bottle cages finally wore out. The grommets that hold them to the bike no longer were in contact with the aluminum. Then I found the Taos models were not made anymore. Hard to change 25yr. habits but I looked again to Tacx for new cages. The Deva design appeared to be reasonable so I tried a pair. Happy that I did! They are light, easy to install, have clearance for front derailleur clamp and hold bottles with just the right pressure. Also like the way they look. Sweet! Change is good!

Excellent cage
They firmly hold bottles while riding rugged gravel races, and they look sharp!

Great bottle cage
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Letâs see, low price check, light weight check, right amount of tension to hold check, looks good in lots of colors check. What more could you want. Iâve tried a lot of cages over the years (including super light carbon) and this is one of the best. Although subjective, I find the tension on the bottle to be just right. Takes a little pull but itâs not bouncing out.

Nice
I bought a pair for my hardtail mountain bike. They have a tight grip on the bottles keeping them from bouncing out on rougher trails. I may buy a couple more.

Absolutely one of the best bottle cages made. Found throughout the UCI pro peloton (like on Peter Sagan's road bikes) for good reason. Inexpensive ($20). Light (~35g). And strong! Best feature: Bottle security. Your bottle will NOT eject during a rough descent. Yet easy to insert and remove bottle. Designed by the Euro/Dutch cycling company Tacx. Note: The $20 Deva is made of fiberglass/nylon/carbon; not full carbon, hence the low price. Whatever. It's a great bottle cage. CC was wrong on their specs at first. They have (mostly) corrected this.

What’s not to like? Light, strong, very reasonable pricing and the first one is 3000 miles in on roads, gravel and singletrack and zero issues. I’m not a gram weenie and have not weighed mine. I just want them to hold bottles and not be a pain. They do their job flawlessly. Just got a second one and will stick with these for other bikes we get as well.

Backcountry & TACX have misleading info!
I ordered two DEVA white ones. Unfortunately one is off white and has a hole in the plastic and GET THIS....Backcountry states 21g. The TACX packaging states 29g. The TACX website states 32g. My scale 35g without screws 42 w/screws. HA! Really? Can't get correct measurements for a bottle holder? ALSO - Backcountry states 100% Carbon. The packaging states "Made of polyamide reinforced with 40% carbon overmolded by polyamide with 65% glass fibre." Also, TACX sells it for $16. Backcountry $20. There is a CIRO style for $20 stating 29g on TACX's website but who knows. Time to make a phone call! Weight matters to some which is why they spend time marketing it and putting it on their package. BUT - apparently this one style has THREE measurements!

Strong Grip

Great looking bottle cage and grips like an angry gorilla on steroids. Seriously, this thing grips tight. At first it seemed too tight, but now I love it. Note: The $20 version is the carbon/glass fibre mix, and weighed 35 grams(without screws) on my PT digital scale. Not 29g as advertised. Doesn't matter to me but some might want to know...

Is this the standard Tacx Deva cage or is this the Tacx Carbon Deva cage? The price point seems like the standard cage which is a polymide composite of 40/60 carbon/glass fiber mix material. However, the description indicates that this is 100% carbon and the weight listed would imply that it is the Carbon Deva.
