Light touch.

While some may be turned off by the Syncros Composite 9 Multi Tool's nylon/fiberglass body, we actually see it as an improvement compared to an all-steel multi-tool. For starters, it's lighter, so it won't add as many grams to a jersey pocket or saddle bag. It's also less likely to damage phones while rattling around in a pocket, and the light texturing makes for improved grip in roadside maintenance situations. Finally, though the composite body is admittedly weaker than steel, it's still strong enough to provide all the torque you could possibly need to address mid-ride mechanicals. A paltry 7Nm is enough to crush most carbon components, and if you have a mechanical like a bottom bracket issue that needs four or five times that amount of force, you're likely using your (un-battered) cell phone to call for help, instead.

Simple, Awesome Multitool

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This basic version gets most trail needs taken care of. It's a bit heavier than other options, but for the price, it's tough to beat.

Good Light Tool

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Nice and small, comes with a stretchy pouch so it doesn't ding up other stuff in your pack, and pretty light. Has the basic stuff you'll need most of the time, and it's a good deal. If you just want something small to have on the trail to get most jobs done, this is a great buy.

Awesome tool.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought like 5 of these. I keep one in the toolbox, one in my bike bag, one in my snowboard bag, one in my truck... you get the idea. Comes in handy, has handled every job I've needed it for, and is small. Comes with a carrying case too!

Great multi-tool

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Small, lightweight, versatile. Great all around option.

Small

I've bought a few of these to float around my garage and bike bag, it's a super handy tool. I've never wished it had more components, it takes care of every on-the-fly job I've ever needed to take care of. Scoop one up, you'll be glad you did.

    so small! Dont loose it!

The Composite bike tool is an essential tool for any time you ride. Its light weight design and it is a quality constructed and assembled product. It is a multi-tool designed for lifelong use. And incredibly light weight! if you drop it, your out of luck!

      Ideal Multi Tool

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This multi tool by Syncros is simple yet highly functional. I always keep one in my backpack when mountain biking, to make small adjustments and repairs on trail.

      Handy

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have an assortment of multi tools. This is the perfect size for any minimalist pack or purse. Cuz you never know when you will need a multi tool. Believe me, every purse or stocking should be stuffed with one

      Great Tool

Great small tool to stash in the backpack on rides. The bag is a nice added combo, interesting to see if it will rust up if wet.

        So far so good

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'll update after more use, but it seems to be well constructed, sturdy, yet light. Not much more you can ask for.

        nice tool, well built

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Have used it a few times, seems well built and is light. Comes with a nice soft bag as well. I would purchase this again.

Like baby bear's porridge - just right

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This isn't the biggest tool out there, and it's also not minimalist. So, you get more than the dead basic screw drivers with this assortment of Hex heads, but you'll still need something else if you want a mobile chain breaker etc. For me, this one is the perfect balance of parts to weight, and in a slim package that's plastic (no snagging jersey) to boot.

        All-in-one

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Be sure to carry the Alloy or Composite version of this tool with you on the trails. It really can help in a sticky situation.
