Description

Ultra Light Fat Tube

The Surly Ultra Light Fat Tube's name is cryptic, obfuscating the true use and nature of a very complicated artifact. You may not guess it at first, but the Ultra Light Fat Tube is a butyl tube with a presta valve for use with fat bike tires. And it's light compared to other tubes designed for similar applications.

The Surly Ultra Light Fat Tube fits 26" tires from 3 inches to 4.8 inches.

got a second and still great!

still great, love the removable valve core to add sealant,...love that I can swap tires from a 3.8 in the summer to a 4.8 for winter without needing to change tubes

solid tube

great tube, removable valve core for those who like to throw some sealant in the tube (me), expands extremely well but isn't thin by any means

Solid tube

I've used it several times

Great tube, so far it has held air and its making my rides possible.

Tube-ular

Totally tubular tube. No complaints. Gets the job done.

Weight

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The weight on my check weight confirmed accurate digital gram scale was 360, and 370 grams respectively. The tubes were taken right out of the box and set on the scale, single skinny rubber bands on them. So the advertised 310-326 is off, for those who care or were curious. Yes I know they are fat bike tubes, but hey they say ultra light on the box, and they are pricey, so there you go!

Holy rubber batman

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Well you ride a fat bike because you are cool. But I was a little taken back by the price, although, for like 11 times the amount of tube... oh well, so worth having because if you live in an area with thorns, you are bound to get more thorns with larger tires. I HIGHLY Recommend using sealant in the tubes.

Good tube

This is a good, all-around tube for the fatties. Performs as expected.

Tube-tastic

It's a tube for fat bike tires. It does what it is supposed to do and keeps air in your tires! The tube can still be fit into a jersey pocket but it will take up the entire pocket. In a pinch you could probably inflate it and use it as a small floatie at the lake.
