Item # SZZ0003Super Sticky Kush Galaxy Bar Tape
If you're thinking the Supacaz star emblem on the Super Sticky Kush Galaxy Bar Tape looks vaguely familiar, that might be because you've seen it on the bars of a certain three-time world champion (we'll call him "Sagan") in the start line photos from cycling's biggest events. It enjoys such lofty status because the tape has a uniquely tacky face material and a thin layer of cushion that absorbs more road noise than it has any right to do. Those little star emblems make it look pretty damn good, too, but bar feel is the real—ahem—star here, and Supacaz excels in that regard. The tape stays tacky for a confident grip, even when wet, and the padding doesn't create obtrusive bulk under gloves or bare hands.
- Bar tape that combines style and substance in the cockpit
- Supacaz branding adds a distinctive touch
- Durable face resists the elements and stays tacky when wet
- Light cushion absorbs road noise without impeding bar feel
- Aluminum bar plugs add a touch of luxury
- Included finishing tape is a step above the industry standard

Nicest bar tape I’ve purchased
I really like the feel, similar to lizard skins but has a nicer design. Will purchase again.
Cool design
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Like these... make riding with out gloves much better than what I had before.
Flashy Performance
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
"Is this all flash and no function?" Was my first question when I saw this tape. I've fallen in love with Lizard Skins as was hesitant to use anything else but figured this tape was worth a try.
Overall I don't regret putting this on my bars. The tape doesn't have much stretch to it so it was a bit more annoying to wrap, but not a big deal. On the bars it feels a bit less rubbery than Lizard Skins but similarly grippy, it wraps thick but feels a bit firmer than other thick tapes. I personally like the softer feel of Lizard Skin's DSP 3.2 for rougher roads but that's personal preference. I'm not worried at all about durability, this tape feels as tough as anything.
The graphics on Supacaz's tape add a bit of pop without being annoying, unless you want to be annoying with some of the fluorescent colors. One of my favorite bits of this tape are the bar ends - unlike cheap plastic one that break or fall out, these are light aluminum locking plugs that look great and stand up to road rash.
Now Peter Sagan, Supacaz's sponsored rider, is pretty flashy but has the performance to back it up and this tape does too. I'd recommend this to any rider who likes a thicker tape without the soft feel of other brands.
Great look, great feel

The Supacaz Sticky Kush Galaxy bar tape has a very cool pattern in a variety of colors to match your bike. More importantly, it feels great on the hand. It’s on the thicker side, but not overly so. There’s a high degree of grip (hence the “sticky” in the title) that keeps my hands right where I want them. Given the high grip, I do find that I prefer to wear gloves as they can rub my hands a bit raw (more so than the old cork tape anyway).
They are also very durable and continue to look great right up until the very end – the color doesn’t really fade.
