Evolution Short

Forget wearing pesky bibs on the road, which have a tendency to dig uncomfortably into your body when you're pushing along at a brisk cadence. Instead, upgrade your riding comfort with the bib-less support of the Sugoi Women's Evolution Short. Representing an everyday workhorse for daily jaunts in the hills and rigorous training rides, the Evolution Short employs a blend of nylon, polyester, and spandex—what Sugoi refers to as Evo Plus—for optimal support and quick-drying comfort. The light compressive structure optimizes blood flow while stabilizing key muscles during intense efforts.

Sitting at the heart and center of this cycling short, the RC Pro chamois takes the sting out of jarring vibration transmitted through your stiff road frame. This high-density foam chamois employs a v-notch for articulated comfort and flexibility, alongside perforated vents for greater breathability and moisture management. Other comfort-enhancing features include a welded center channel for pressure relief, as well as four-way stretch panels that lovingly conform to your body.

  • Push yourself on the road in total comfort
  • Evo Plus is lightly compressive and quick-drying
  • RC Pro Chamois dissipates jarring road vibration
  • Invisa chamois for a flattering, stitch-less look
  • MAB PowerBand silicone leg grippers for security

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Natural Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

A nice surprise!

I've used it several times

I'm hard to please with bike shorts. I like the first pair I bought 30 years ago, and have been trying to buy the same thing ever since ;). When Pearl Izumi stopped making one pair I'd long liked, I decided to take a chance on these. What a pleasant surprise! Very comfortable, true to size (at least compared with Pearl Izumi), nice material, very smooth. The chamois is more substantial than I'm accustomed to, but it was smooth and comfy, not bunchy. All good!

Low waisted

If you like hip-huggers, you'll love these shorts. Seriously--very nice but low waisted front and back.

Love these shorts, slightly longer in the length, very comfortable for 50+ miles in the saddle. Would purchase again.

Make your wife (or girlfriend) happy.

My wife and I ride a road tandem together frequently. Tandems are a unique experience, not just for the ride but for how you sit on the bike. Therefore tandems are THE acid test for a chamois. My wife has tried all types of shorts over the years. Cheap usually is, well, not good. Expensive, no guarantee of comfort. Sugoi Evolution shorts are "Goldilock" shorts. Not too expensive, not too much padding, just right in all respects, price, fit, and performance.

The fit was comfortable, and I like the chamois thickness. I ride about 30 miles per ride, and didn’t experience any numbness. Probably should have purchased them sooner!

Wanted to love these

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I wanted to love these. I have have tried numerous pairs of bike shorts and they either look terrible or are not comfortable. These are extremely flattering. They are the perfect length, don't give you that sausage thigh look, and have enough compression to hold everything in. The problem with these is the chamois. The bulk of the padding just isn't in the right spot. I don't need a bunch of padding in the back as its more my pelvic bone that feels the seat pressure and the chamois just isn't wide enough to provide any protection there. I have only done short rides in these too. Anything over an hour would be miserable. There are much better female specific chamois out there, like the one giordana uses, they just don't come in nearly as flattering of a short. I guess I'll take sausage thighs over saddle pains. Iwish it wasn't too late to return these.

waistline Is too low.
