Strider12 Classic Balance Bike - Kids'
Item # STD000S
Stride to ride.
While the industry typically uses "entry-level" as shorthand for a non-race bike, we can assert with comfort and confidence that the custom grips, saddles, and other features that set Strider's lighter, more expensive models apart from the "entry-level" 12 Classic Balance Bike probably won't be missed. The 12 Classic is designed for aspiring cyclists from 18 months to 3 years of age, providing a platform to transition from striding to coasting in order to learn the balance and handling skills necessary for eventually piloting a proper bicycle.
The balance bike's sturdy frame is rounded off with flat-free tires, an adjustable seatpost, footrests for gliding, and brake mounts so that — as the young rider's coasting skills increase — a rear brake can be added to keep things in check.
- A balance bike to ease the transition from toddler to cyclist
- Sturdy, reliable frame embraces the rough and tumble life
- Adjustable seatpost lets the bike grow with your child
- Footrests encourage coasting as confidence increases
- Flat-free tires delay an awareness of the harsh reality of cycling's biggest hassle

This is our second Strider and works great and certainly helps with balance and the fundamentals of staying upright. Being able to watch your kids enjoy something you enjoy is pretty awesome. Cant wait for a moab trip:)

Got this for my little one when she turned two. It took her a couple weeks to warm up to it and preferred to use her tricycle (which she used as a balance bike anyway), but since she got got comfortable with having to control the side to side she is zooming all over the house. On top of that putting the few pieces together and adjusting to her height is nothing.

Best toddler bike
I got this for my nephew for his birthday and it took him a minute to get used to it, but it is seriously so great at teaching the little toddlers balance and he's already zooming around on this. He'll be ready for a pedal bike in no time!

Your First Bike!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
The Strider Balance Bike is a great way to get your kids into biking! More effective than starting with training wheels and less of a hassle. If your child can walk, they can ride a Strider Balance Bike! Once they've mastered their Strider, they will be ready to hop on a pedal bike as soon as they are big enough. This bike also comes fully assembled, so as soon as your Strider gets delivered, its ready to rip! If you have any questions about Strider balance bikes or exploring other options for your children, feel free to shoot me an email at PBraunstein@Backcountry.com

my daughter loves this bike and wont put it down, so much that we had to buy her friend down the street one just so they could play together.

Got this for my 18-month-old for Christmas. Although she loved riding in the baby seat of my bike and was thrilled to try riding on her own, she wasn't quite coordinated / committed enough to push through the early learning stages. She's now almost 2.5 years old and is starting to scoot around a bit more, but hasn't quite figured out coasting with her feet up. All this just to say that not every 18-month-old is ready to ride. That being said, it was easy to assemble, easy to adjust seat heights for growing kids, and built to withstand constant falls. We love this bike!

Kids LOVE This
This is a HUGE win when you give this to the little one in your life. My friend's kid went right from the strider to a two wheel bike - no training wheels! I can only hope for the same enthusiasm for my neice who I just gifted this to!

I snagged one of these for my nephew and he is loving it! these are such great balance bikes that are built and durable. It should work well for him for the next few years and i am confident his new infant brother will inherit it when the time comes to move to pedals.

I won Christmas this year with this
I gave this to my niece in Pink for Christmas and she lost her mind. It definitely stole the show. This is a great entry level bike for toddlers to get comfortable without pedals. Really easy to assemble and my niece was cruising around within minutes.

The 3 year old finally joins the crew with this little starter bike. The size and weight are not overwhelming for this slender toddler. Has been a big hit and the perfect transition to a more complete bike setup when she's ready. The PINK is AWESOME.

Stridin' in Style
- Familiarity:
- I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
I purchased this for my 18 month old daughter for Christmas. This is her first bike or ride on toy of any kind. At first she would only walk beside it, not fully understanding the concept of straddling the bike to walk with it. It only took her about 3-4 more times to be more comfortable riding the bike. Now she is 23 months old and will grab the bike, lift it, ride it, she can even turn by herself; she absolutely loves it. She loves turning it upside down and spinning the wheels as well. I know this has helped with her balance and I'm so glad we started with this bike as her first bike. This will last her a few years and I know we will not have to ever use training wheels. The bright pink color is so cute and fun, she loves it. A bike like this makes the best gift, start them as young as you can!

We got the rocking base and even though my one year-old can't walk yet, he can go on "bike rides!" The best.

Great balance bike
The assembly on this is a no brainer and everything needed is included in the box. Every kiddo Iâve seen with one of these picks it up so quickly and makes the transition to a pedal bike a breeze. The adjustments for height is very simple and the wheels that will never go flat make for a low maintenance, long lasting purchase.

Learn so quickly
I bought this for my nephew for Christmas and he was a little scared of it at first but hopped right on the next day. It seems like he'll be able to ride a bike soon. This bike is really easy to assemble and has an adjustable seat and handlebar height so it can fit any child.

Grandson loves it. Could not have picked a better gift for a two year old. Already signed up for a race in March.
