Crystals you can believe in.

Stan's NoTubes earned its reputation creating tubeless wheels and tires, so it should come as no surprise that the company has also been quietly supplying its proprietary Race Sealant to professional teams for years. The New York-based company now sells its formula, discussed only in the vaguest terms, for the public to use, with the formula touting a greater concentration of sealing crystals compared to others on the market, as well as the ability to perform consistently in a range of temperatures and weather conditions. Stan's makes note that the sealant's efficiency guarantees it to clog injectors and valves instantly, so it must be applied directly into your tire to work successfully.

Different

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Definitely a different mix than the regular sealant. Lots more fibrous and seems to stick to the inside of the tire more and not stay suspended in liquid form. Not really sure if this is a good or bad thing. I don't think I would run this all the time but for bike trips or races I would go with the stans race over the regular stans.

The Good Stuff

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This was my first time trying out this new "Race" sealant. As far as I can tell, it's just about as good as the previous rendition, but we will see how it hold ups long term and on rougher terrain. So far so good!

Can I use this on a Vittoria Corsa Speed tubular tire?

Still the best

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

There is a reason Stan's was the first and still sells the most of their sealant. It works, plain and simple. Now that does require you to re-apply (same as any day at the beach), but if you do frequently enough, you can almost be as bold as to ride without a spare tube.

Gold standard

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have heard the legends and rumors of STANS and it lives up to them! Great stuff that lasts.

Liquid Gold!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

After thousands of miles, multiple countries, and countless punctures I truly trust Stans to get the job done!

a true standard

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I started using Stan's as it was the standard when I converted to tubeless. I've used various other brands, but still find myself coming back to either the Stan's regular or the Stan's race sealant every time. The more particles offer better puncture sealing especially for the larger cuts.

Extra Chunky

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It pretty hard to improve something that is already great however, Stan's has found a way!

This sealant is just as easy to use as the original. However, by using large and small irregular-shaped particles that interlock more quickly I noticed it can plug larger holes.

A great option for someone who want's a little extra protection against flats!

The best got better

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Standard Stans was always my go to after trying a few different sealants. The new Race Sealant is even better, with more particles and better properties for sealing your tires, this should be in every tubeless tire out there.

Stan's NoTubes Race Sealant

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It is the original and the best.... i have been using stan's for years and never got a flat.

I haven't noticed it dry quicker...

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I used regular stans for a LONG time in all my mountain bike tires, and when they came out with this thicker stuff i figured I'd give it a shot. Seems to seal larger cuts well, and I have not noticed that it dries up any faster. Would definitely recommend.

Best sealant

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Have Maxxis Ardent Race tires that kept having little drops of sealant leaking out of the sidewall (no cuts or abrasions) when I used regular Stans. The Stans Race completely eliminated all leaks and works great.

Best sealant out there!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I think I have tried just about every sealant out there, and keep coming back to Stan's. Plain and simple, IT WORKS.

Does this come with the applicator to get the sealant in the mounted tire?

It will not include the applicator. It is pretty easy to pop the bead with a tire lever and pour some in without removing the entire tire. Let me know if you have any other questions about getting your tires set up with sealant!

Not just for races

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use this sealant in all of my tires for both training and racing. They say that the sealant dries up quicker, but I have never had any issues. It will plug any hole.

Stan's the Man

Purportedly more resilient then its predecessor, the Race status given to this sealant means it seals better. The improved formula is designed to seal larger wholes and stay viscous for longer periods of time. Add a little glitter if you really want extra security, or to add a little flare to your Stan-imals collection.

    A great sealant made better

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The original is great this is even better. Not only does it seal up holes faster it seals those slightly larger holes a lot better.

Goop to plug up your holes

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Right out of the bottle you can tell that the new race sealant is much thicker that the non race sealant. It is like the difference between that watered down ketchup that comes out of the bottle first to what comes out afterwards.

    The Chunky Version

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If regular Stan's is plain old Campbell's soup then this stuff is the Chunky version. I've always been extremely impressed with Stan's and am inclined to really push my luck leaving it in for a whole season or more so I don't mind spending a few extra bucks for the good stuff. Stan's is awesome in a bottle, I don't think you can go wrong with either this or the regular version.
