SRAM makes their PF30 Bottom Bracket Assembly to fit frames that use this pressfit standard. If your bottom bracket shell has a 46mm ID, then this is the bearing set that you'll need to install your BB30 crankset. Be aware that it will work with any brand of BB30 crank as well. While SRAM's GXP system is proprietary, BB30 is not.

To install this PF30 Bottom Bracket Assembly, you'll want a standard BB30 tool to press the composite cups into the frame and ensure correct installation. The sealed cartridge bearings will ensure smooth operation for many miles. The unit comes complete and ready to install. It's compatible with bottom bracket shells ranging from 68 to 92mm, including the BBright and BB386EVO standards.

  • A bottom bracket for PF30 BB shells and cranksets
  • Durable steel bearings remain the industry standard
  • Compatible with BB shells from 68 to 92mm wide, including BBright and BB386EVO

This is a BB

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It comes with bearings and a shell. Dunno what else to say. It works. Replace them every 6 months if you ride a lot, 8 months if you ride a fair amount, every year if you don't ride as much as you should.

Unanswered Question

I just got a triathlon frame that mentions PF30 BB, is this adaptor what I need to install and use my older SRAM Force GXP crank?

I think these are a great BB option. I haven't ever had any issues and the low price makes this a winner. I've been running these for years with no complaints.

Super simple

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I would say "super duper simple" but that would require that this never existed and every bike had a threaded bottom bracket shell that works fine. But, that is not the case anymore. I recently installed this on my Yeti ASRc and it was super simple. Just grease it and press it in. I then used a PF30-to-GXP adaptor and used my existing SRAM GXP XX1 crankset, 168 q-factor. It just works.

best BB for the money

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm not a fan of ceramics, so this is totally awesome. Cheap, durable, simple.

Good PF BB-30

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It does the job on my BH cross bike. It fit in nicely and is smooth. The BB-30 seems to spin more freely than a 24mm bottom bracket. It has held up through snow, salt, ice, and mud. I clean it up from time to time and I am good to go. I doubt it is worth moving to ceramic, especially since you can afford to replace it more often since it is only $40.

To carify, this is not a BB-30 standard bottom bracket - it is a PF 30. These two standards fit different shell widths but both fit the same BB30 cranks.
