PC 1091R HollowPin Chain
SRAM used its impressive knowledge about chain technology to create the PC 1091R HollowPin Chain. Starting with SRAM's HollowPin technology to reduce chain weight without compromising strength, the 1091R also uses heavily chamfered plates for smoother shifting and a quieter ride. Chrome-hardened pin construction and the convenient PowerLock Link connecting system top off the design to ensure a long life for your new favorite chain.
- Nickel-plated, steel chain for your SRAM 10-speed drivetrain
- HollowPin technology for reduced weight
- PowerLock chain connection makes install tool-free (one-time use only)
- Chrome-hardened pin construction increases lifespan

Nice Chain
So far so good. I like the how I don't need a chain tool to clean the chain, simply press the quick links together and I can clean all the grim and stuff out.

It's a good chain, what's more to say!

Excellent chain, smooth operation. Give it a good clean and lube when you first mount it to get all the manufacturer's grease off there and get it running with a little less resistance and this will keep your drive train running solid for a while.

Change the chainel!
Well, I originally got this to connect my wallet to my belt loop but it comes out of the box kinda greasy and was staining my pants. The wife thought it was kind of a dumb look for a 50 yr old too. So, I'm like, what the heck, lets throw her on the SRAM 2X10 and see how she does. Boy, am I glad I did - smooth, svelte operation meets instant power transfer plus the power link thing a ma bob combines to make me feel 10 yrs younger and give me extra confidence in the bedroom. Highly recommend.

Was apparent from the change onto this chain that it was awesome. I'm not any kind of long time road bike riding expert, but surely was apparent how pro this was.

I bought this for the hubs. Here’s his review: I chose this chain because I’m one of those riders that trains and races on race-ready equipment. This chain model has given me zero issues all the times I’ve replaced it. Perfect shifts, low noise, cleans easily, and has never broken. That’s all I ask, and this chain delivers.

Ending the reign of Shimano

For the last 7-8 years every person has told me to run a ultegra or DA chain, but never run a Sram chain because they "suck" "loud" "poor shifting" etc. So that is what i did for many years and experimented with KMC, KCNC, Wipperman etc to try others as well. The best was always the DA chain until now. This chain is spot on and delivers perfect shifts. There is not more noise than a DA chain, light, great shifting, and i have zero complaints.

Replaced the chain on my sram red 10 spd drivetrain (50/34 and 12-28). super easy to install (had to remove three links). I just matched it to the length of my previous chain instead of trying to measure it out like the instructions suggested. Used the pedro chain breaker tool which was a bit pricey for what it does, but essential if you want to replace a chain. After ~100miles it's working great and shifting is ever so slightly smoother. all in all a great buy. I'm thinking of picking up another one while these are on sale for only $40.

Still going strong

I put this on my Giant Reign X1 in 2011 and it's still going strong! I have derailed the chain, bashed the chain on logs and rocks and put well over 800 miles on this chain alone. Let me say, I have NEVER had to do any adjustments on this. It worked from day 1 and still works. It has never broken or needed anything. Least amount of maintenance of any chain I've owned. Keep her clean and lubed and she too will be good to you.

Never needed it with this chain....she's as solid as German Woman named Helga who spends way too much time at the gym. BUT, having this chain I don't see why not, the pins are just hollow.

Great Chain

Just put this chain on to do a complete drivetrain overhaul and the chain is great. Only issue the quick connect is impossible to set the first several times by hand. Thank goodness I have chain pliers for disconnecting quick connects that has the function to also set it! The chain so far has performed as expected. Overall a chain is a chain but got this baby on sale so tried it. You will not be disappointed. Mine runs on a Orbea Orca with a SRAM Force drivetrain.

Next time hold rear brake and stomp on pedal. Link will pop right in. I've bought this chain three different times. Prices keeps getting better. Buy two at a time when on sale and keep checking back when on your last one. You should always find on the cheap. Great chain by the way! Everybody will be on Srams wagon once E tap rolls on to the market.
