SRAM is big on offering the consumer options. Here, with the PressFit bottom bracket, they're giving you a second choice -- Ceramic bearings. We'll let you decide how big a deal this is for you. The bearings here are comprised of two sets of ceramic bearings, each in a nylon cup with a lip. You press each set into a side of a BB86(road) bottom bracket shell. Then, you take any SRAM 24mm through-axle crankset and boom(!) you just got your non-standard bottom bracket to work with a whole bunch of Truvativ cranksets.
The SRAM GXP Road PressFit bottom bracket with ceramic bearings works with pressfit specific bikes only, like the Scott Addict R1 and CR1 SL.

Read directions twice!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
The BB pressed neatly into my '15 Scott Addict, and, unsurprisingly, meshed perfectly with the SRAM Red22 GXP crank. However, it is not readily apparent at first glance which piece of the BB goes on which side of the BB shell. Press it in backwards and the crank won't install. Removing a brand new pressfit BB isn't easy, so double-check your work before cranking down on your pressfit install tool!
