Bell
It’s no secret that the key to any successful relationship is high quality, and frequent, communication. Bike trails and roads are no different, as they host multiple user groups — cyclists, runners, hikers, equestrians, etc., and who wants to risk accidents or trail access issues? Use of a quality bell can easily help you avoid unwanted conflict.
Engineered from the ground up to be the best possible bell, the Spurcycle Bell has re-established the bar for bells. It is crafted from premium brass and stainless steel in the good ‘ol USA. This durable bell has a distinctive, yet pleasant tone that resonates up to three times as long as most bells — an extended period whose effects are immeasurable while navigating crowded pedestrian malls or approaching blind corners or driveways.
- A bell for proper trail etiquette
- Made in the USA of premium brass and stainless steel
- Installs and removes easily with a 2.5mm hex tool
- Rings 3-times longer than other bells

Bell is loud, annoying, and rings for a long time. Well designed, both the silver and the black look great on our Yeti’s

Loud and resonating. It does it’s job to alert other bikers, hikers and more importantly horses that share the trail. I once came up on some horse back riders a little fast and realized after talking to them that the rider and horse could get seriously hurt by a mountain bike coming up on them with no warning. This bell does a great job

Great bell, but not for aero bars

I enjoyed this bell for several years until I upgraded my bike to something with an aero cockpit. There is no way to mount this on anything but standard round bars. Reading many of the reviews here it's easy to see that the bell is great it's just that the mount is often not useful in many situations. I've contacted the manufacturer and they have no way to mount the bell other than what they provide. That's a real pity since alternative mounting solutions would be easy to develop and provide even an additional cost.

very nice, and sleek bell. the tone sounds great and lasts for a while before it quiets down. horseback riders appreciate it very much. my only complaint is how it mounts. my grips were to fat and bars to thin. in finally ended up stripping down an old tube and wrapping my bar next to my grip which ended up working fine. there was trial and error in figuring this out though

Gouges handlebars and expensive repairs
- Familiarity:

Wanted to like this bell, it is marginally better than competitors in sound but not for the price. My primary disappointment was that it ruins carbon handlebars in a crash and you'll spend $25 if you need the bell repaired.

Can this be mounted on Enve SES aero Road handlebars?

Nope! I contacted the manufacturer and they have no way to mount this on anything but round bars. It is a beautiful well-made and has a unique clear flower arrangement. It's a beautiful product. When I upgraded to my Trek Madone I had to get rid of this bell. I switched to a very cheap bell that had a simple stretchy strap to attach it to the bars I wish they would develop a mount for aero bars. It wouldn't be hard.

We get it. This bell is pricey. I picked one up on a whim after my tax refund came in. I was feeling splurgy. You can get a plenty loud bell for 1/5 the price. But the price has its merits... Volume vs Sustain: This bell is not incredibly loud. Plenty loud for trail riding and suburban commuting, but won't win against car horns and street vendors in NYC. The true advantage is how long the ring lasts (or "sustains"). The perfect CNC bell housing holds a ring for 10-20 seconds, starting with a very hard "ping" and petering out at the same frequency. Its great for mountain biking because you can start the ring 10-15 seconds before you pass a hiker, let them know you're coming, and they can use the extended ring to know where you are as you approach and how quickly you're overtaking, all without looking. Gone are the days of ringing your bell 20x to let someone know you're approaching. The initial ring is also shrill enough to get the attention of even the most hardcore earbud rockers if you do choose to hit it repeatedly. Durability: This thing is expensive, but its simple. The materials are high quality and I've moved mine between different bikes for 5 years now. I recently had a nasty crash that caused the bell to rattle, but careful inspection showed it wasn't missing a spring or other part, the thumb paddle just had to be bent slightly to nest back into its cradle. Good as new.

Highest Quality Bell

This is a very high end bell, but worth the price. The sound travels a good length, to warn others of your approach. Very nicely made, best quality materials and incredible sound, exactly wat you want with a bike bell.

Worth it for higher end bikes
I have several Crane bells on other bikes, but wanted something more elegant and smaller for my road bike. This was well worth the price and has not shown signs of rust either. Now if only others on the trails didn't have headphones in so that they could hear it!

This bell gets attention!
I put one on my bike and one on my son’s. It is beautiful and looks great on our Crosstrails. But more importantly it is loud and never fails to get attention of everyone on the trail. While it is loud, the tone is very pleasing and unique. These bells are well worth their price.

Whether it's a commuter bike or a mountain bike, this is the bell to have. Period. It is good looking, well built, and most importantly it rings loud with a great tone. Save yourself from pedestrians who don't look both ways and/or from getting in a head-on accident when riding around a corner on the trail with this bell.

Great for Annoying your Friends!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
This bell is crazy loud making it perfect for heckling your friends to go faster in front of you. In all seriousness, this bell is great for making your presence known going into blind corners on popular trails, or warning other riders/hikers/runners that you're coming up on them. It's a simple, yet courteous way to communicate with other people on the trail that has saved me from many awkward trail encounters. If you're riding on high traffic trails I'd highly recommend getting one!

I have these on every bike in the house, hands down as good as it gets. The only issue I've had is on an incredibly wet day in the PNW, where it took a couple hits to knock the water out. I don't think any other bell would have fared better

Solid construction and loud enough for the trails. Easy to install (I recommend to watch the instruction video on their website for installation).

Awesome little bell. tightens onto the bars super well and seems like it will last a long time. Super loud but doesn't rattle on the way down. Great product.
