Get grinding.

Part of Sportful's newest collection of casual performance apparel, the Men's Giara Jersey lends itself to idyllic tours across the countryside, grinds down remote gravel roads, and leisurely cruises to the local café. The relaxed cut isn't as race-specific as other offerings in Sportful's line, meaning you'll have a bit more room to move and pedal out of the saddle. Subtle styling isn't as garish as racier cycling jerseys, meaning you'll actually want to wear it to the local pub afterwards.

The Giara Jersey regulates body temperature on long grinds with its quick-drying polyester, with the upper-half sporting a soft heathered fabric for superb comfort and refined style. Highlighted color streaks pop for greater reflectivity after the sun dips below the horizon. Seeing that functional storage is essential on longer tours and gravel grinds, you'll find three rear pockets in conjunction with a zippered security pocket.

Love It, But Can't Wear It :(

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

This is a great looking jersey. I love the simple European styling. It breathes well, is cool and wicking, and the pockets are spacious and easy to access. Unfortunately, I have a "nipple sensitivity" so anything touching or rubbing my nips tends to aggravate them. The seams on the center stripe are right there so I can only use this jersey if I incorporate a base layer. Can't beat the quality for the price though!

I usually wear more of a race cut jersey but the Giara was as a little change for some mountain biking. I rode it with the Giara overshort and they were super comfortable together. I am 5'7" 130lbs. and wore a S. the sleeves were avg. length and tight enough, but not restricting. The torso was not loose, just a good cut but not the super tight race type. Has held up good although I've only used it about a month and a couple washings.

Gets the job done

In the same family of Castelli, Sportful makes some solid products and differentiates itself in a couple ways. For a gravel/multisurface jersey, I am happy with the piece for how expensive it is. It has a quality feel and secure pockets in the back with plenty of room to stuff nutrition and accessories for the long haul. The jersey feels durable, you won't have to worry about thin material stretching out and wearing quickly over time. I like the tame colors, definitely not going to stick out like a sore thumb like some bright high vis road jerseys in Castelli's lineup. I took this jersey gravel/mountain biking a couple times and the relaxed fit was comfortable for the weekend spin. That being said, it fits similar to Castelli, so at 5ft9 155lbs, the Medium fits almost perfect. For someone who has a bike for every condition and a jersey that can be worn anyday, this one fits the bill. I recommend.

Sportful's "Gravel Kit" rocks!

Sportful likes to tout their Giara (gravel) line as being the choice for long days in the saddle. I don't like term "gravel" because it's sort of arbitrary, but in this case, I think that's a good thing. You don't have to be riding a bike with panniers and 40c tires to rock anything from the Giara line. Sportful's 'relaxed' fit line runs fairly tight, (and about a size small), so you won't look out of place on a ride with your spandex buddies. All and all, you'll never go wrong with this stuff!

    great looking kit

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

the simple design makes this one of the best looking kits out right now in my opinion. If you find that you are in the middle of sizes, i recommend going up one size.
