The fabric is very lightweight, but it feels well made. Would be good on breezy days. However, the fit is very weird. Like the poster below mentioned, it’s very triangular and long, and the sleeves are slightly baloonish. It’s almost like a men’s fit - wide in shoulders, triangular through and really tight in hip area(the most narrow part of the piece). It’s also very long - almost hits me to mid hip area(I’m 5’6”). For reference, I’m usually L in Castelli in both tops and bottoms, for this top I’m also L according to the Size chart. I could easily size down for the top/shoulder area, but I’m afraid it won’t zip in the bottom because it’s so long and narrow in the waist down area. I’ll keep it as I got it with a good sale price and I do really like the weight and overall quality. But I’d likely be returning it if I got it full price. This was also my introduction into Sportful apparel, but now I’m a bit hesitant to buy more Sportful pieces in case that it might be their standard “women’s” cut.

The fabric seemed perfect for some late fall riding, but it fell short on fit for my frame, so it had to go back. I am roughly a womens 14 in the shoulders and 16 in the hips; I ordered the XXL. It was extra roomy in the shoulders, but tapered beyond a slim fit through the waist and hips. I expect a lot of apparel to be "slim" through the hips, but in this case, with the extra room in the shoulders, I would say it's best made for a triangle fit with the slim side on the bottom (vs an all around straight fit). Now that I think about it... it was like trying to wear a men's t-shirt on a curvy frame. So, if that is your need, this may work for you. My other impression was that this piece was trying too hard in the panel and articulation department, but since I didn't actually use it on the bike, I would take that with a small grain of salt. I'm sure it was built to one specific fit model, and that person is the far opposite end of the spectrum for me. For the fit, I will say it "runs small" for a XXL on account of it not fitting through the hips (though technically it runs big in the shoulders).
