I've always been skeptical of Specialized rubber but there's literally nothing to complain about with this tire. It's fast, rolls smooth, the tread lasts 1000's of miles, and it's impressively puncture resistant. I run mine with latex tubes and couldn't be happier. I've done a few thousand training miles and a few hundred commuting miles on the same set of tires. I haven't gotten any punctures and the 28s run best at 70-75 PSI in my experience. I'm at about 3000 miles on this set and the tread is still looking good, but with the sidewall somewhat suspect a replacement might need to happen in the fall. For the price, you can't beat these tires regardless of training or competition use.

Can these tires be tubeless?

Hey James, These tires are made to be used with tubes only.

I've been a long time user of Michelin tires (from the "Super Comp HD" era all the way to the present "Power" series), so I was hesitant to switch over. So far these tires have proven to be a good choice. I don't race anymore and was looking for a good all-around flat resistant tire for long road rides. However, I wouldn't hesitate to race on these if I was still in the game. Also, kudos to Specialized for continuing to make 700x24. Seems a lot of companies aren't making anything smaller than 700x28 now. Not my preference.
