I’ve been using these tires for over a year and only a few flats. I’m pretty light at 140 pounds and ride fairly smooth fairly clean roads.

Beware of Flats
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I agree with the others. - these are great tires other than the constant flats. Flats seem to be especially prevalent in the fall when the roads accumulate debris from trees. Before switching to these tires I rarely got flats but now, I flat every other ride or so. I'll be switching to something else.

Flat
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Had these tires for two weeks and had three flats. I guess I’ve been lucky through twenty years of riding never had a flat before. Sidewalls started deteriorating after second ride. Less than 300 miles and in the garbage they go. Getting Conti 5000. Hope I have better luck.

I agree with you. I never had a flat until I switched to these tires. Less than 200 miles in and pop. Also, the sidewall is falling apart. I wanted to believe the hype. Back to Conti 5000.

Prolly best tire on the road, but made for racing. If you're using it everyday on the open road you will flat. These are light weight race tires. If you need something with flat prevention get the Gatorskins for training rides.

Not a good tire at all. Price should have been $20, instead of $80. I changed to armadillo never had a flat tire since then.

These tires came with a Specialized S-Works Tarmac. I replaced the Specialized ultralight butyl tubes with Vittoria latex tubes. The ride is sublime with the same smoothness and grip of a latex tubular tire. However, these are ideally used on good pavement. There are very visible wear indicators that if observed, will provide a future warning for flats. I got about 1500 miles before replacement.

My 2020 S-Works Tarmac came with the Turbo Cotton Tires. Look great. Ride great. In 6 months, I have had 10 flats. I even replaced the rear tire 4 months in to see if it would last. I had a flat 2 weeks in. Every small chard of invisible glass or sharp object flats these tires.

These are one of the best balances or comfort, weight and speed in a tire now. I ride the 700x26. I’ve had only a few flats in the past year. A pinch flat over a pothole when I probably didn’t have enough pressure, a big staple and a few others. And they wear reasonably well for me at 140lbs.
