Noticed that a review for the RIME 1.0 mountain bike shoe was a “wide” fit. I don’t think that is true. I am currently wearing wide Sidi’s and I was looking for a more walking friendly shoe for hike a bike sections. The shoes look well built with an excellent grippy sole. Length was good, just to narrow for me.

I really love these shoes. I use them for my flat pedals on my gravel bike. They run wide so for me having a wide foot they really work out for me. They are stiff which I like for pedaling power. Because they are stiff they are not great for walking but I find them good for walking. I didn’t by them to walk in I bought them for pedaling. I was getting foot pain in my left foot with my old shoes I was using which were another brand but with these no foot pain at all. Oh, and they don’t slip at all. They really grip the pedals and I am confident when pedaling hard, even out of the saddle I feel like I am locked to the pedals. So glad I got these.

Solid Shoe

Fit:
True to size

Fits true to length, but the width and volume is a bit big. Velcro strap is a nice feature that really secures your foot. Really like how the cleats are recessed so you can walk normal.

the rime 2.0 are more comfortable

I read reviews that said that the main difference is the soles. I think the tongue in the 1.0 is different from the 2.0 too. The rime 2.0 shoes are more comfortable than the 1.0 shoes.

Are you a casual rider?

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Fit:
True to size

The fit is perfect, minimal flex with solid traction. At under 50 hours and just a little over a month, the sole is falling apart already. There's a newer version with Vibram sole that may perform better than these did. I hope these are flawed and covered under warranty.

If you have a wider foot you will love these shoes. They are pretty stiff, and have a wide toe box. They are very comfortable to walk on as well. I honestly think this is the best shoe you can buy for a hundred and ten bucks or below. I wear a size 13 and it was a little roomy but not enough for me to go a size down. I also bought the 2.0 version and I will alternate between the two shoes so I don't wear one out completely.
