Color not true to online photo

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I know that colors are hard to match from online photos, but the "Sky Blue" version of this would be better called "Gray Blue" in my eyes. otherwise, the cage itself is quite rigid compared with other non-metallic cages I have owned.

works as designed, extremely durable

Not sure if others have had lemons or what... but I've had some of these on my bike for 3 years now with zero issues. And trust me, i am not gentle on them.

Works and hasn’t broken

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Works perfectly fine but it seems like some may be defective based on other reviews. I’ve used mine quite a bit and have had Zero issues with it

Don't buy it!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

A top sidearm broke within the first two rides. The plastic seems more brittle than other cages, and I shouldn't have ignored all the reviews out there about them breaking.

Avoid!!!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Bought it despite the reviews here and elsewhere about breaking. Well, sure enough. Two rides and one of the "arms" cracked. Worthless. Save your money and the headache.

Holds Well, Breaks Easy

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

After about 200 miles, mine cracked where it cradles the base of the bottle. Never threw a bottle so the cage works well, but it cracks way too easily.

Sleek and Aero

The Ribcage II does exactly what it is supposed to do, hold your water bottle tightly so it won?t pop out when you hit a bump. Designed for left or right side access. Can be awkward to get a bottle in or out sometimes though. I am a big fan of its sleek aero look. Been using for several months now. Liking 'em.

Surprised at the bad reviews

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I'm returning to buy my 8th rib cage II. It's the only secure and reliable cage I've used and surprised to see all the reviews. Use on my and my wife's gravel bikes (x2 each), my hardtail xc race (x2), my full susp x1, and her old full suspension bike x1. We've only broken 1, and it was due to a crash and underside downtube mount. I've only lost 1 water bottle in 100's if not 1000's of hours of mountain biking... Very surprised at that. Feel bad for those that broke a cage in the first few weeks, but I guess anything is possible. We've been very happy, and here I am, ordering another one for the next new bike build happening now.

Absolute trash

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Do not buy. As others have said it cracks easily. Bought 4 for my Roubaix. 2 in the normal spots and two on the seat using the swat mount. The two on the mount broke in the same day. Apparently you can't just ride with filled bottles. $75 down the drain (2 cages and swat mount)

Too Small bottle cage

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

MY first attempt to pull a bottle out of the cage resulted in the bottle cage cracking at three different points. The bottle I used was a standard 20 oz. water bottle that I have used with many other cages. It was snug on bottle insertion into the cage but, this is no different than many other cages that I have used. It was a defective product. I removed the other matching cage from my bike and replaced them with my old black cages.
