Flash 500 Headlight

Our latest to-see-by headlight, the Flash 500 brings Flux-style beam control to a more budget-friendly pricepoint. The Flash headlight combines a clean, compact design with a simple-yet-elegant silicone strap that reminds us of a watchband design from our friends in Cupertino.

With two different-sized straps included, you can dial in just the right amount of stretch to keep the Flash secure, while ensuring super fast install and removal. Now you see it, now you don't.

Thanks to it's 1400mAh battery pack, the Flash 500 will deliver 500 lumens for 2 hours, all the way up to 125 lumens for 8 hours. 250 lumens of Flash mode gives you a whopping 16 hours of runtime.

Glad I picked this one

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Was a little hesitant, given the small silicone straps, but there's been no sign of stretch or tearing yet. I basically leave it on the bike to charge just in case. Spec gives you two size bands, but would be better if they gave you two for the more common 31.8 diameter. As for the light, I leave it on flash for all my rides except for night rides, which is off and a back up to my primary. At highest setting, I'd feel ok getting through the rest of the ride if need be, and am glad I chose this one over the 300 lumen version. Battery life has good so far. Not willing to test it out to 16 hours, but I feel confident going mulitple rides before recharging. Construction feels solid and it doesn't take up much space on the bars, given the 500 lumens (which I am taking their word for). Also, it's non-obstructive, sticking only 3/8" from the back of the bar, compared to so many others you see. When you need a new light, chances are you'll like this one.

This is a great light. It is small and compact but very bright. Works well offroad.
