The Premio levers were built specifically, but not exclusively, for removing tire beads from carbon rims including tight-fitting tubeless beads. Silca wanted something with the strength and stiffness of a metal lever but wouldn't crack, scratch, or otherwise mar the carbon surface. Metal cores covered in plastic are nothing new but it often isn't stiff enough and is often bulky and heavy. Instead, Silca pairs a high-strength forged aluminum lever with a nylon pad on the rim side only. This allows Silca to create a lever that is 25-30-percent thinner making them ideal for very tight tires and tubeless setups where access to the tire bead is very tight, yet stiffer and stronger than either plastic or metal core designs.
Silca developed the first regulated Co2 inflator in 1982 so it knows a thing or two about creating a good one. The Eolo III dispenser is the smallest spool valve Co2 regulator on the market. The red, white, and green insulator rings keep fingers from freezing and pay homage to Silca's Italian heritage and the head threads onto both Presta and Schrader valves for a secure no-leak interface. Fixing a flat is frustrating enough, so you shouldn't have to fight a tight spring regulator and thankfully, the Eolo has the lightest spring action available. The valve is also very low-profile letting it fit on disc wheels or any other tight confines. As with most of its products, the Eolo III is plastic free and features 6063 aluminum and stainless steel construction. Even the puncture pin is made from tool-grade steel that's more than 2 times the hardness of traditional pins ensuring proper operation and trouble-free use for many years.
