Description

Tecno 3 Push Buckle

Replacing the small, wear-prone parts on your Sidi shoes gives them a whole new lease on life, and Sidi makes the process pretty easy by offering things like the Tecno 3 Push Buckles for a palatable price. If you're wearing shoes from that use the Tecno 3 closure system, keeping one (or more) on hand will help you avoid buying a new pair of shoes in the event that a brush with asphalt tears your current buckles off.

  • Replace your old Tecno 3 Push Buckle without breaking the bank
  • Durable design ensures longevity
  • Sidi is one of the biggest names in cycling shoes

Terrible closure system

Old laces frayed and buckles no longer hold. The rest of the shoe is fine. It is impossible to remove the old techno 3 buckles. There is a microscopic pin that you are supposed to push through but I could not make it budge. Save your money, bite the bullet and buy new shoes-with a different closure system!

“Microscopic”?—-wow. really. one must possess the facilities 2 outwit the pin....simple enough?

It’s ok

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

The sidi boa system is just not very good. The previous wire shoes locked up so I replaced them. The boa is not smooth though and doesn’t release well. Sidis buckle shoe work so much better.

Mine work perfectly. Maybe your lost on their operation?

Nice Upgrade for Ergo 4 shoes

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I recently upgraded to a pair of Ergo 4s from Genius 7s, but the stock buckles on the Ergo 4s are a little to fiddly to adjust while on the bike. Thankfully, the Tecno 3 Push buckles are available and an easy replacement/upgrade for the stock Tecno 3 buckles. Works essentially the same way, but with the addition of a release button right on top of the dial to allow the handle to pop up. Now I can more easily adjust my shoes on the fly, and I still have the original buckles as spares.

What do I need to order to replace the buckles on a pair of size 47 Wires?

You'll need a set of the shorts for the top buckles, and a set of the longs for the bottom buckle. One set of each will replace all 4 buckles on a pair of shoes.
