The weather has been cold for spring in North Idaho this year. These have been just the ticket for the upper 30's-low 60's and for a hundred bucks it's a deal that's hard to beat. They aren't supper stiff but comfortable. The hook and loop on the ankle hangs on socks pretty easily but you get the knack soon. Light rain is no problem either. Very happy with them.

Closeout deal. Can't beat a cheap pair of winterish shoes. I own a few Sidi shoes. 3 road and now 2 for trail. I have not used these yet as it got warm quickly this year with a mild winter. Fit well with a Thorlo trail hiking sock. I normally wear a mega 46 road shoe and the mega 46 Dominator trail fit a bit loose(not a problem). Road Dominator megas fit snugly. These Ghiblis are ok without being a mega width. Stiffish when new but I'm sure as they age they will stretch out a bit. Got these to cover colder conditions. While not waterproof I feel they will get job done, plus being a closeout model they were a great deal.

A bit more flex

A very comfortable upper. It seals out all the moisture and adds warmth. Replacing the felt insole with a regular one will make it a tad less warm. The neoprene cuff is soft and pliable Quality that you expect from Sidi.
This would be a very good hike and bike shoe. Especially in real rocky terrain. Not a super great road shoe. The sole has a noticeable amount of flex at the pedal and walking. It feels like a pair of 15 year old Dominators that have been rode hard. ( I have a pair that I uses as knock around town shoes, and yes they can last longer than that) . So I would say flexy sole vs. the board stiff sole on a new pair of Dominators

Other than no Gore-Tex, how do these compare to the Diablo...are they as warm?
