Give your drivetrain a boost.
The new Shimano 11-speed XTR group borrows a heap of technology from its older sibling, Shimano's top-end XTR line, resulting in a component group that closely mirrors its more expensive kin and offers a more wallet-friendly option for riders on a budget. It now steps up to the new Boost 148 standard with the XT FC-M8000-B2 Boost Double Crankset, which keeps the gears turning with advanced Hollowtech II construction, updated bearings, and a Boost-compatible width.
While Shimano's bearings have always been solid, the M8000 gets an update with smaller bearings and improved seals for an even smoother ride that efficiently transfers power into forward motion. The Hollowtech II cold-forging process results in crank arms that are both stiffer and lighter than most solid crank arms. They've also been reshaped with an asymmetric design that's different than, yet evokes the sophistication of, XTR.
The right arm is pressed together with the hollow 24mm spindle at the factory, and the splined left crank arm is secured with perhaps Shimano's best detail: two pinch bolts to secure the arm once the bearing preload is dialed. In our experience, it's a superior design in terms of installation, trail manners, and durability. The bottom bracket is improved as well, with a lower weight, higher durability, and reduced seal drag.
The Shimano XT FC-M8000-B2 Boost Double Crankset is available with a set of 36t and 26t chainrings and several crank arm lengths to suit individual rider needs. Please note that this crankset is only compatible with Boost 148 Standard frames.

What's the chainline of this crank? Sheesh. How about listing relevant info instead of irrelevant information like: "Recommended Use mountain bike".
What's the weight of the XT Boost 2x crank? In other words, why does Shimano want more money for this crank over the SLX crank?
